Move to University with me! Back in 2020 I moved to loughborough university to study Architecture. I moved into 💙 Cayley Hall 💛 back in 2020 and lived there for 2 years. I spend my second year there on the hall committee and loved every second of it. I show part of my freshers experience which considering the circumstances at the the time was so so fun. Hey, I'm currently in Year 11 doing my GCSE in a couple of months and I'm quite interested in becoming a PE Teacher and I know that Loughborough is an amazing Uni to go to and my PE Teacher also went there but I was looking last night and for a years accommodation its around £9000 and that's roughly going to be for 3-4 years so it all adds up and I'm just wondering how you can afford all of that because I know you get a job but on the wage you get your gonna have to work every free second just to pay for it all. How do you deal with all of it?
Student loans help and you can also apply for bursaries depending on your circumstances which you dont have to pay back unlike student loans. Its also good to start a savings account as soon as you possibly can (Y11 is a perfect time to start and you can just put in small amounts, it adds up fast) and make sure you only spend your savings on absolutely necessary things. Then for when youre actually in uni, learning how to budget (especially how to have cheap nights out as those are where most people's money disappears to) is essential.
There are some on campus accommodations that are around 4/5k a year. Falkner eggington is one to look at. Also I have a student loan which pays for my tuition and some of my accommodation

don't you start college before you can drink in the US though? everyone is at least 18 in term one here and you can drink at 18

Yes it is very safe, they have great security and they really look after the international students
