I really need help. I’m having an issue where after I put in all the durock v2 stabs none of the switches come back up after I press them. I’m at a loss I don’t know what to so
Did you over-lube the stabs? Sounds like sticky and over-lubed imo

Your sound test is off. Stock and mod sound like they’ve been recorded differently. There’s way too much gain on the mod recording.

They don't I've been trying to fit mine in but the cutout is too small other plate
Did you relube your stabs? Mine, as with many others, are way too sticky and overlubed
ha, you did the same thing as me, only wanted to buy 2 of the gloroious panda switches wince theres 36. then just use some random switches laying around for the extra 10 youd need. for the function keys
So there is clear notice hear that you used a lower frequency in your recording... Not saying the Durock's aren't better by any means but it's quite obvious. For comparisons sake, you should make them the same.

what plate did you use?
lol I just did this... kinda. I installed Durock V2 stabs, except the aluminum plate wouldn't go back on. The stabs didn't fit thru the plate. I had the poly plate too and they wouldn't fit thru that either. I had to get a file and file down the parts of the plate the stabs went thru so I could get it back on. Rough work, but I got it done and it seems okay. Feels fine.

@@Dabzzz I didn't file the stabs. I filed the plate. I used a 3 sided saw file on the plate in the spot where the stabs would go, but after using the keyboard for a while it wasn't a good enough job tbh. I started to notice the inconsistency in the sound. Probably should have used an power tool to even it out, definitely could have done a better job. Ended up just getting an FR4 plate that fit the keyboard and the stabilizers properly and that sounded way better. I'd recommend just getting an aftermarket plate or find stabilizers that will actually fit. The "AVXworks FR4 plate" and "Stupidfish GMMK pro 3mm Foam" sounded really nice. I used 26 Gateron Black Ink V2 for alphabet and 55g Aqua Kings for everything else.
Have you changed the case foam ? Is it PE foam that you've used? Is the added foam under the plate ? It sounds really really good. Really curious how this set up will sound with FR4 plate
I checked her detailed vid of her modding and no pe foam under the plate, but she did put 3mm PE Foam as a case foam!
what length of stab for the spacebar
6.25u 6 and 1/4 number of keys big
what type of stabs u use? maybe its V2-7x2u 1x7u?
spacebar should be 6.25u, the other 3 are 2u stabs
How is the sound that deep. Is it the SA keycaps?
