Addendum to episode 4 - bass in real rooms is complicated - nonetheless the REW predictions are super helpful when designing.

The Room Sim feature in Room EQ Wizard software is super helpful - we can try lots of different positions for the subwoofers and work out which is best. Here we do that for the Cinemaworks demo room.

For LCR, toe-in really helps. For surround channels. it's a useful improvement. Front wide though is a special case, you've really got to toe them in or it just won't work.
