    Impressionnant comme le judoka à maîtriser sans pouvoir exprimer son potentiel puisqu’il ne pouvait pas agripper les vêtements. Pas de doute qu’il n’aurait fait qu’une bouchée de sons adversaires si il aurait put !

    The wrestler did not hand fight or create angles. It was frustrating to watching this because the wrestler just kept diving in for the legs head on, making it easy just to sprawl. Control the head and hands to move the opponent and create angles so they just can’t keep sprawling. He was also shooting in from too far away, negating his own speed. The wrestler was fast, but if you shoot from far out, the opponent who knows what you are doing will have a lot of reaction time, thus he kept getting caught in a front headlock and sprawled on.

    I am considering to start Judo😁, but then I heard of the banned leg grabs😢... Would you still say Judo beats Freestyle Wrestling if we look at takedowns only?

  • @conceptbjj8581
    @conceptbjj8581 5 месяцев назад

    Appears to me the wrestler was actually being defensive by refusing to tie up. By shooting from a mile away he was preventing the judoka from throwing him. He was just hoping the judo player would get tired first.

    Раньше не обращал внимание. Сложился стереотип, что выходцы из вольной и греко-римской, едва ли не всегда не победим в. А тут смотрю, да и их бывают до дзюдоист, то джитсер заборит. Не всегда, но с учётом стереотипа.

    It makes me sad how little known this sport is with how complete it is. People prefer to watch Karate kyokushinkay or kung fu which are more of a competition to see who can withstand the other's blows the most, in the case of karate and kung fu they are pure forms because when they start fighting the rules almost don't let them do anything They can't even kick below the waist. Instead of seeing techniques like these where kicks below the waist are allowed where there are both punches and grappling, people prefer karate and I fall asleep in a karate competition.

    I think this demonstrates the problem with the way that Freestyle wrestling is taught. From my experience, and I suspect from the experience of the wrestler in this video, we are taught leg attacks as basic techniques, hence why the wrestler was fighting the way he was. The problem with this is that leg attacks require taking on huge risks from a combat perspective as you are left essentially very open in vulnerable areas. The Judoka was able to nullify the wrestler because he has superior upper body control which translates well into dictating the whole contest. I suspect that this would've been a more even match if the Judoka was facing a Greco-Roman Wrestler.

    • @Michael-ii9fs

      I would go with folkstyle by far. The ground game. And there is scrambling and throws. If the goal is submit, the wrestler is stuck until getting training but awfully tough to deal with if we’re talking about a college wrestler in the US folkstyle.

    • @zohebalikhan7404
      @zohebalikhan7404 7 месяцев назад

      @@Michael-ii9fs But the the fundamental problem of the low stance remains along with its inherent vulnerability. There's no point in having the advantage of ground control if you can't get the fight to the ground in an advantageous way.
