Bike History of an Average American Cycling Enthusiast
After digging through SD cards last week, I came across some files of my old bikes dating back to my childhood through today. Though I never was a pro cyclist, I can confidently say I am an average American Cycling Enthusiast and have spent considerable time in the saddle and on the work bench wrenching bikes. Join me as we explore the journey I took from 1997 into 2024 and all the Bikes that came and went along the way. My biggest regret is selling that Pre-Trek Klein Adroit :-( damn those things are selling for $$$$ these days! Also, I hope to someday find a Kinesis Maxlight XCPro2 frame again soon to build up as a beginner bike for one of my kids. any of you fellow bike nerds want to r...

Is Gravel Cycling’s Indy Roots Slowing Growth?
Просмотров 14311 месяцев назад
In the new world of Gravel Cycling, we have seen large swaths of cycling enthusiasts transfer from across many cycling disciplines into this exciting and fulfilling new faction of the sport. In its beginnings, Gravel Cycling was a way to revolt against the sanctioned and perfectly curated races that existed in both Road and XC cycling. Many people saw it as a way to "mix it up" and experience m...
Dream Home Built Under 90 days & WAY Under Budget!
Просмотров 3 тыс.Год назад
2 years ago in the height of the building bubbly frenzy, I decided to build our dream home on 2 acres along the Red River in Minnesota. I was able to complete this project way under budget and on time even while [at the time] building materials were at record high prices and builders were bidding insane prices for projects. How? I did it myself and took control of our family's future homestead....
Bike Industry goal for 2024: Less is More
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.Год назад
After the biggest 2 years of sales the cycling industry has ever seen in 2020 and 2021, the industry is now trying to figure out how to handle a sudden downturn and flatlining of consumer demand. Who is to blame? Geopolitics? Economics? Or was it simply a handful of greedy industry leaders overreaching and exceeding the realistic long term growth rate that this industry has steadily seen for de...

Cyclists' Biggest Morale Killer: Winter Darkness ...SOLVED!
Where to get tire chains? I like the dump cart also. What kind? Where. Thanks.
i have the same lawn tractor, i use to to puch snow with th ebllade and she it gets really bad i attach the husqvarna snow blower i thought about getting a bobcat but this works just fine i have 3 acres. the electric locking rear axle is great. i hav enever got it stuck in the snow. i have snow chains on year round. i also pull a grass mulcherr for the pasture. 4 ft size love the thing. i just got a hyd loader for it a few weeks ago, also works great. so no need for the bobcat.
Just a heads up from running mowers for years. Idle your throttle down to low for a few seconds before you shut the machine off.
Thanks for the tip...just bought a ride on and I want it to last . Good tip
I don’t know if that saw is big enough.
I have this tractor ... not a lawn tractor it is a garden tractor capable of ground engaging implements and has a locking differential ... you would need at least a 500 series JD for these capabilities
Great video, I’m planning on getting this mower from my local dealer next week. What kind of dump trailer is that? Who made it? Thanks!
Fill those tires with fluid will blow your mind.
This guy needs axe swinging lessons….
Where I live, a bit to the left of you, we build stuff with your freebie load of diseased trees. 😲 That's really effing sad you're burning that long stuff. Now it makes sense why you use your new little mower & plastic buggy to retrieve mini-loads of downed trees on your acreage. Splitting that pile of diseased wood is easy pickins with a circular saw or Sawzall, compared to bucking up, loading, hauling, splitting & stacking the downed trees already littered throughout your property. Cool beans, dude! Sweet deal for you!!
I'd be using a old F-150 farm truck & getting it done smarter. Looks like there's plenty of space to get a bigger load & be more efficient w/ your time. Nice mower. The buggy won't last for long, unless your baby it. It looks like fun times.
if they do not half their prices, china will take over big time. no-one wants a roadbike with electronics second hand by the way
Like with any decent product. Durability, cheap and available replacement parts and limited warranty will mean customer satisfaction .The other thing is bicycle manufacturers should lobby and pressure our governments to build more bicycle infrastructure the same way the automobile industry did .
Where are all these surplus inventory? I can't find a TCR in stock anywhere...
Why lie about the road? About the dumbest thing I’ve seen today.
Like the wheel size / tire size if you got one?
Is there any way to automate the stoking of the furnace?
Other than transportation costs, do you have to pay for the wood?
Those out door units are awesome
Hypothetically say you were eating a 2000 sq ft Ranch how much would a system like that cost
You’re sadly mistaken
So you have that pile of shit on your driveway the whole winter? Your neighbors must love you.
That didn’t look like trees to me,, that looks like two by fours,, that’s treated lumber that’s toxic
Any treated lumber in there? Looks like it to me ! Illegal!
Now you’ve just let all the environmentalist know how you heat your house… You’ll be shut down immediately
Depends what type of wood it is because some types of wood are poisonous if you burn them.
Thanks for contributing to green house gases…👍
So how often do you have to add wood?
Looks like some painted wood and possibly some pressure treated.
This is so bad for the environment
Not enough trash and waste material that can be burned is being utilized.
Wording is everything. That load is clearly not diseased wood but old dimensional lumber that most people won’t put in the time to reuse or recycle.
Why would you have a heat source outside..🤡🤡🤡.
The boiler is insulated but yes, some heat loss occurs. The pipe’s running to the house are insulated. Outside is where the trees are at. These units are also dirty. From wood and wood chips and bugs in the wood to cleaning out the ash. I’d rather do it outside than make a mess in the house.
So we emit the chemicals into the air verse's in the ground? Hmmph! 😢
That’s not recycling. If you burn it, the woods doesn’t get recycled.
2x4 trees 😮
It looks like demolition debris.
What is your individual carbon footprint?
That's processed lumber. Liars
Dont let the govt see this. They dont look kindly on self sufficient ppl.
Good for your family.
The slab wood from the mill in my small town has kept many people from freezing in the winter. It's cheap as hell too. I haven't burned it in a few years but it's only like 10 bucks for a heaping truckload.
Sadly they are trying to stop this they don't want you to heat your house for nearly free aparlently bad air 😅they don't say wild fire ate bad for us that's natural
My solar array heats and cools my house with the electricity it generates. It also charges my electric car and it is all free! I pay no money for electricity or for gasoline. Works great.
How much was it for your solar set up?
Carbon much?
Look I saw maybe one tree.
Looks like the stuff leftover from a big project, and theres enough there to build something really cool.
Some of this wood has too much sap in it so will eventually clog up the flues.
I bet this pollutes the entire neighborhood. Would hate to live close to this.
Love it.
How often do you have to feed it?
