If you haven’t seen it, they sell tab books edited and approved by the artists (not sponsored haha) so i know this is correct. I played the chorus in a different position than the band does but i know the notes are correct. Def recommend the book! I have it for the dear youth album too, and for messengers from August burns red. They come with the guitar pro files too and they’re like 30 bucks a piece

@@Zhefion thank you! This was in drop G#. I had the guitar in drop D and used a digitech droptune pedal to get it to G# ☺️ quite a massive drop but no latency issues and i feel like it didn’t degrade the tone *too* badly. I don’t own a baritone and this wouldn’t be comfortable to play on a 7 string with that fast run, so that was my solution lol

@ thanks! This was actually on a 6. Pretty sure they used a baritone 6 to record this based on the music video. I used a digitech drop pedal to get to drop G# for this. I do play 7 string often, but this one was 6 ☺️

@ it’s the single best guitar purchase i have made apart from my fm3. I keep my 6 strings in drop d and then just use the droptune all the time to go to whatever tuning i need. So you could basically just have 1 guitar in drop d and play anywhere from drop d to drop G. It’s incredible. I found a tab on songster that was… rough lol. It got me in the ballpark and then i studied live performances and learned it from there. One suggestion is to use MoisesAI, you can put the song through it and it’ll separate out the vocals and instrumentals for free so you can hear the guitar better. With a subscription you can isolate the guitars, but even just getting it to instrumental is really helpful.

@@Daniel-x2t7f i actually learned that song years ago when i was doing a lot of ADTR covers (there’s multiple full album covers on my channel) but never got around to making that one. I might have to relearn it!

Thank you! This was tuned SUPER weird to modify for a 7 string (i don’t have an 8 or 9 yet). It’s basically drop C#0 (i think, might be drop C0) with the 7th and 8th strings removed. So i have the guitar tuned to drop F. Ran my droptune pedal down a few steps, and then just dropped my 7th string down to C0. Took me awhile to figure out how to modify this to work LOL.

I know from speaking to the band this was *fairly* close to correct. Hopefully the multiple camera angles will help make it easier to learn! I learned no way out as well but life has kept me from filming new videos lately. That’ll be coming one day!

I’m a sucker for bleghs and panic chords 🙏🏻 hopefully i was fairly close to playing this song right! lol I’m finishing up learning No Way Out right now ☺️ a couple little spots i haven’t been able to pick out proper (the 3 chord progression during “my reflection staring back at me” and the lead riff in the final breakdown). Thank you! This song def does not get the love it deserves. It’s also incredibly hard to play haha. Probably the hardest on the album. That part you listed gave me SO much trouble in getting the picking right because it changes each repetition. Drove me insane lol

Thank you! I use the same base preset and then tweak here and there to the song. A lot of it was dialing back the gain. I only had the gain on like 4.5 for this one!

Hey thanks! I moved in November and have been trying to get my setup figured out. I actually filmed a video tonight so hopefully over the next week i can get that put together and posted! It’s one that i don’t think there is a single cover on RUclips yet ☺️
