In 2008 I heard a voice in my head.... am not schizophrenic, mentally ill, do not drugs etc., when I heard a soft voice ask: “Teresa, do you know Jesus!” I was in my room at the time and remember still to this day how I felt. As soon as I heard those words I realized... I’m getting chills right now. I realized in the split second that I had absolutely no idea who Jesus was. I started to panic. I was afraid. I felt lost. My mind was reeling. I felt like I was doomed. I felt dizzy! I sat down on my bed and out loud I said.... OH MY GOD I DONT KNOW JESUS!! But how, how could I not know Jesus? I’m Roman Catholic, of course I have Jesus. Then I started getting visions go through my head.... church. The mass. The communion, the photos on the walls of my house. The last supper on the wall in every home since I was a little kid. But still the emptiness, fear and doom that I was feeling inside my body would not go away. Again, out loud I said, oh my God I have no idea who Jesus is. I only know of Him. I started crying! The only way that I can explain how I felt the moment I heard those words, is like this..... we know how Adam and Eve had no idea evil was. They did not know they were naked. Buy once they ate the apple and realized what they’re and that they were naked they became afraid. That’s how I felt. I heard the words and immediately felt my empty pitiful life without Jesus. Then the fear that followed. But how on earth do I get to know him, what do I do. I need to know Jesus. What if it’s too late. A Bible. I need a Bible. I didn’t even have one. I call my mom.... mom I need a Bible. Please where can I get a Bible. Go to church, she said, and father Anton, will give you one. And that I did. I started reading, but I was lost. I didn’t understand it. I started praying, but I didn’t know how. I didn’t know what to say. It was horrible. One day I walked into convenience store owned by an Italian family. I’d been in the store here and there. They have pictures on the wall of Jesus and Mary.... the last supper etc. I walked up to the counter to pat for my things when the old Italian lady behind the counter asked: “what’s wrong?” Taken aback, I said... “nothing.” “No no,” she said. “Something is wrong, I can see it.” I was shocked. I didn’t know what to say. I think she sensed it because she came from around the counter and put both her hands on my shoulders and said... “tell me what is hurting you... what are you going through?” “I have seizures!” “Seizures are ruining my life!” I “I cannot live like this much longer,” I said. She said to me.... “have you been contemplating taking your life?” By now I just let loose! I told her everything about how I was planning to end my life. She hugged me and said... “have you gone to mother Mary.” By now I am crying. “No, I don’t pray the rosary.... I don’t even know how.” She said: “mother Mary, is calling for you, go to her through the Rosary and she will help you.” She will take your petitions to her son.... and there is nothing the son won’t do for his mother. “But I don’t know how to pray the rosary.” She too, a CD from a box she had on the counter and put it in my hand. “Listen to this everyday,” she said. When I look at the CD it had a photo of Mary and a rosary, with the words: Holy Rosary. From the counter she grabbed some prayer cards and handed them to me. I asked her how much they cost.... she said they are free. They are there for anyone to take. I promised her that I would listen to the CD. I got in my car, put in the player and pressed play. I listened to it the whole ride home. I listened to it everyday and I prayed along with it. After a while I just felt that listening to it was not enough. I needed to really learn how to pray it with the beads. And that I did. I couldn’t get enough of praying the rosary. Every single day, twice a day and sometimes three. I noticed my mood changing. I no longer lay in bed all day. I no longer had thoughts of suicide. I was no longer depressed. I found myself as I prayed, thanking God for healing me from seizures. I knew deep down in my heart that God was going to cure me. I didn’t know how, or when it would happen. I just knew that seizures would not be in my future as the doctors told me that I’d always have them. I was so happy. I had Jesus. I knew him. I talked with him. I walked with him. I spoke of him to everyone. I forgot to mention that the old Italian lady gave me a few CDs to give away. I gave one to my sister and cousin. Sadly they didn’t not even listen to it. Within two years of my praying the rosary, it led me straight to a doctor who’d had the same type of seizures that I was having. I just turned on my laptop one night and a there was an ad for a neurologist. I clicked on it and couldn’t believe what I was reading. Here is a neuro who had seizures since he was young. He had brain surgery and was healed. He went to medical school and became an epileptologist to help people like him. But where is he?? I felt tears well up in my eyes because I wouldn’t be able to see him. I clicked more info and could not believe it.... he was a doctor in my State.... Michigan. He was a neurologist in the hospital that I was seeing a doctor. I knew right then and there that rosary saved me. I called my mom and told her the good news. Mom, mom I found a doctor who is going to heal me. She didn’t believe me. She felt bad and scared for me that I’d gotten my hopes so high and that I’d be let down because the doctors said that I,l always have seizures. The time had come to finally see that doctor. As soon as he walked through the door I said.... I want to have surgery. Every doctor told me that I was not a candidate for surgery. You will heal me. Will you perform my surgery. Yes, he said. I can heal you.... but, we have to go through extensive testing for a good year. I am ready! In two years after starting the rosary I was seizure free! I’d had my surgery. No more seizures! The rosary saved my life. Thank you, mother Mary for going to your son Jesus. Thank you for leading me to Jesus Christ.

The rosary is my every day companion. I really cannot explain to you what mother Mary and our Lord jesus have done to change my life . I just know I feel their presence when I pray the rosary. The church morning mass says the rosary everyday except Sunday the whole year round . I pray it morning and evening as well. I feel protected every single moment of my life
