are you not reaching 165 fps on the 3070 ti? plus the goal of amd in the future isn't competing with nvidia so not sure how much of a improvement it will be for amd. They are going to be going for more budget friendly gpus so if u want to upgrade there is nothing wrong with the 6900xt

3080 is the best value option. The 3080ti is a little better but from where I’m from, it costs about £150 more, can get a 3080 for £350, a 3080ti is £500. And personally when you’re at that price, I’d just put another £30 to it and get a 4070 super brand new which performs better 99% of the time anyway.

@@ESKATEUK i got a 3080 10GB for 290$ and got 6900xt for the same price. 4070 supper cost more than double I cant afford them. so only those 2 options I has. seems like 3080 10GB will do the job despite having less vram right ?

@ I have a 10gb 3080 and it is great. Runs pretty much anything I’ve played on it. It will play practically any game up until 2020 in 4k, and on newer games I just stick dlss quality on and take the settings down from ultra to high. If you’re able to get the 12gb version of the 3080 for similar price go for that. I can’t recommend AMD, because FSR is crap in comparison to DLSS, and I just don’t like them.

If only for gaming 6900xt is much better choice, unless you use blender /vray other 3d work 3080 would be better even if a bit higher price point not because its worth it but just because it does the work unlike amd I was in same situation but got the 3080 because of the other work and also the version I got needs only 2X8 pin connectors which means no need for other parts to be upgraded also.. @@reshaad_97 i only do gaming. and planning to use GPU for at least 2 years. so future proofing is my primary concern. mostly play AAA games at 1080p ultra. want hit at least 60fps. with modern games and ray tracing becomes mandatory I cant decide. i know and ray tracing sucks. also their upscaling is worse than dlss. also concern about fsr 4 will the 6900xt support it? there is lot of things that's why I am unable to choose one

@@VisalAshintha I would say don't over think it if u need it just buy it. Are you planning to buy second hand? If so don't think too much just get one and after a while if you changed ur mind u can sell and get the upgrade I think either of them is more than enough for a while yeah next year would be new releases but really expensive

@@reshaad_97 i dont think it would be that simple If I choose the wrong one I will definitely loose some and could be worse . i wontbe able to find any deal. in my country there arent much 3080s and I only a one 6900xt wich is the one currently on for sale. so I really has to choose the right option otherwise I ll regret it and will loose the money if I want to change. thought waiting for the next gen release so 2nd hand prices will go down but if I wait I might miss these deals so that's why

@blackwolfjr169 well for people like me who don't care too much about RayTracing, it doesn't matter what brand the card is, all that matter is the card should give a good performance for the price And there are some people who do care about power consumption too.

6900xt is a better GPU

The 3080ti has a 350w to power consumption, the 6700xt only 170w is ridiculous for only 20 or 15fps more

2080 ti is 3 generations old gpu's see the new gpu linups we will see which has more value. and one fact 2080 ti is 6 yrs old and was origanally priced at 999$ and this 250$ is refurbished price whereas at 6600xt is only 3 yrs old and its msrp was 379$.

its a comparison between a high end 2018 gpu and a low-mid end 3 yr old gpu and still 6600 xt keeps up fairly

rx 6950xt if gaming is your main priority but rx 6950xt power consumption will be very high compared to rtx 4070 super but i just don't like the 4070 super, it's not like it's bad gpu, its amazing gpu for 1440p with dlss 3 and fg, but 12gb vram just sucks now days even for 1080p gaming the minimum vram requirements are 10-12gb for latest aaa titles so for 1440p gaming 6950xt just too go with only one main con it's power consumption

How is it gonna be different? That's not how a GPU works. There's no difference in image quality between different models (if you use the same settings of course). It's just more or less fps

@TheSEWEGI The 3080 comes with a whole host of newer technologies than just better image rendering. If you think only fps improves with graphics cards, you're off the mark.
