@linchpin5481 I am from Canada, but I have spent a fair bit of time in Serbia. Lots of late nights and early mornings in the kafana. I also worked on a film in Belgrade in 2019 called Komunisticki Raj, where I got to spend time with great musicians. I spent time in some of the villages , where there are plenty of great musicians that the world will never see or hear. I took some music lessons from an accordion player named Đula ( Svetozar Milosavljević) in 2017, just trying to learn about the ideas in balkan music. I have been going there consistently since around 2013, and I fell in love with Serbia. Not any girls😉, but the Serbian culture. I wasn't able to go this year, i am hoping next September. Your guitar playing is awesome and so clean that I can hear the ornamentation, which, for me, is the hardest part of that music. So, thanks for putting yourself out there for us to enjoy.

@@datsunlambchops4624 I am so happy to hear this. Foreigners often like Balkan music more than ourselves. There was a Japanese girl who came to visit Serbia, went to a wedding, and when she heard guy playing accordion she became crazy about the music, immediately started taking lessons, and became professional accordion player in few years. :) She moved to Serbia, married a Serbian guy, amazing story about the power of music. @linchpin5481 Awesome. Thanks for the link. I know a Japanese guy in Belgrade, he is a Japanese/Serbian translator. His name is Taro, he plays the Gajda and sings old Serbian folk songs. You are right about the music. For myself, I have seen so much and met so many amazing people along with the opportunities music has brought. It is a great gift. My accordion playing is quite bad by Serbian standards. My primary instrument is the mandolin, then the tenor guitar (tuned like a Cello). ❤️🇷🇸
