I'm the type of person who just wants to try a bite of everything on the menu rather than a big dinner plate. Such quirky traits of mine, combined with an ever-growing passion for cooking/baking and a love for wine, led me to create Sip & App as a place to share my favorite recipes in small bites or appetizer sizes. I hope you'll try making some of my recipes and start entertaining at home, where you actually can enjoy a bite of everything.
Crunchy Amaretti Cookies | My New Holiday Favorite
Light, airy, and crunchy, these amaretti cookies are very similar to those imported Italian ones, except you can make them at a fraction of the cost! These are so easy to make and perfect for holiday baking or gift giving. I'm not even gluten-free or dairy-free, but I enjoy them as much as other types of cookies. I hope you'll try these!
Recipe (Makes 30 Cookies)
Ingredients:
2 Egg Whites
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp Tartar
100g Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract (or ¼ tsp vanilla powder)
½ tsp Almond extract
120g Almond Powder/Flour
20g Corn Starch
1 TBSP Powdered Sugar for dusting

I noticed that you DO have a nice web page and printable recipes. I will have to see if this one is there. On watching a second video of yours I was going to subscribe anyway, but the web page cinches it.

I have salted peanuts. Not overly salted. They would work wouldn't they?
I have used lightly salted peanuts and they worked great! You could technically wash off the salt and dry the peanuts for a few minutes in the oven if you find them too salty.
This popped up in my suggestions today. You did a good job with the editing and with your narration. The sound level was good too. An all around good job. One of the first things I look for when I check out a cooking channel is printable recipes. I can't be running back to my computer if I am going to try to make something. Just a suggestion. Good luck with your new channel. I think you will do well.

I have never used that, but I think you could work. I have used apple cider vinegar or sherry vinegar and just had to use a tiny bit more maple syrup to balance the sharpness, but it tasted fine. The gyoza itself has a lot of flavor already, so you could just enjoy them without the sauce as well.

@@SipandApp i m sorry i say so because i just dicovered Aquafaba and it is amazing , like in a chocolate mousse , just with a little chocolate , it tadtes like eating the essence of chocolate , incredible ...i guess with Macha it would suit very well the purpose too
Absolutely! In fact, I was plant-based for a period of time, and I experimented a lot with Aquafaba - great stuff!! Maybe I should revisit those recipes sometime.

I have made these with ground chicken instead of pork. Although they will be less juicy, they will still be delicious and way better than any store-bought ones. Happy cooking!😃

My oven is rubbish - can I cook them in an air fryer and if so, what time/temp should I use?
I'm sorry to hear about your oven! I wish I knew the answer, as I don't (yet) own an air fryer. I have heard that it's like a mini convection oven, so if you are up for an experiment, I would maybe lower the temp and time a little and see. Say 375F and start checking around 12 minutes? Let me know if you ever try it!
