Hey everyone just an update to this old project. As time went on Adobe continued to update their Animate software which broke my add on with every update. Additionally I've moved away from Animate mainly because of their UI overhaul which made the application clunky and hard to navigate. I'm looking into making this project Open Source, but unfortunately don't have much time on my hands these days.

I hate to be that person, but I’m kinda starting to believe this is just a dead program now. The jAnimation 2.0 is just not working. I did exactly what the instructions told me and nothing happened. It sucks too because it really looks like a cool tool to use! It is what it is. Hopefully there will be an update, though seeing how old the video is I’m not holding my breath on it.

What about over responsive like if i touch the controller it goes off or i dont even got to touch it

to someone who was able to install and use 2.0 PLEASE contact me or reply on this comment. i have been trying install this for several hours and i cant find a way to do it

i tried so many different variations and did not work at all, infact it made my R1 even more sensitive and was going off when I was pressing the right trigger. how did this work for everyone but me lol

Hey man I tried the foil thing on both l2 and r2, it was working on l2 fine but r2 didn't get any better. I think my sensor thing is damaged any way how to replace and fix it?

I don't get why but it worked for about 30 minutes and then it stopped to work. I tried to change a foil but it didn't help. No i don't know what to do

Thank you for this. My OG black controller had dead R2/L2 triggers. I was hesitant to buy new parts since I opened it up everything looked fine. I was also thinking of buying a new controller but I’m short on cash, with this video you just saved me like $80 for a new one.

I have been having problems with my L2 button. I tried everything, even changed the whole ribbon circuit board flex and it still didn't work. Had given up on the controller until I saw your video today. And it worked. Thank you

This does work but 1 thing I should have don’t different is that only my R2 wasent responding so I only put foil on the R2 sensor and it worked thanks Bro

This trick didn’t work for me but this is exactly what happened to my controller but just the opposite side. Bought this controller like two months ago, this just started yesterday. Tried the tin foil bow tie trick and idk if I didn’t crumple it enough or what but L1 and L2 work just fine so I switched that rubber piece over to the other side and it still didn’t work so I think it’s more internal than I’m prepared to go so off to Walmart for another new 60 dollar controller that will break again in two months. Great video though. Haha

Wow thank you for this! This is better than what I did. I shaded the rubber pad with pencil but I won't guarantee it as permanent solution. The foil is much better.

Can confirm that this works! My L2 button was struggling big time. I didn't do the bow tie but I did do a tinfoil circle for the L2 section and I'm so grateful that it works. God Bless You Jay Edry!

This actually pisses me offf I keep buying ps4 controllers one I can't sync to my ps4 Bluetooth and the other one the L1 Button isn't working

is that IR? i have a screen i got for free(wall-mounted LEIKA something) but i dont have the controller... is it a fast job to make some controller so i can use the menus and select buttons/features? i dont have a clue about IR or know anything about these technologies nor can i find one peep about LEIKA or my screen online. it has an OS and you can choose pictures, movies, calendar(just this i want right now really though...), etc

Hey if you're like me who already did this and the r1/l1/r2/l2 button still doesn't work, it might be the green contact trace on the plastic that is not connecting well to the gray contact trace. What I did was to get a pencil and basically traced/drew a line going from the green contact trace to the grey contact trace (do it a couple times like you're shading with the pencil but don't overdo it). Now try to put back the rubber pads and see if the contacts have been connected by the pencil line you drew (pencil has lead in it so it can make a contact), just try and try till the button finally responds. Hope this helps.

The error is in the manufacturer I will make a video where the specific error is located and how to fix it if the error can be fixed

My L1 and L2 isn't working and on my left joy stick it keeps going left and also when the controller light well stay green? And I have to shut off thr controller in game and turn it back on and it well work after that? I did clean the joy stick so I don't know if anyone can help me what's going on that would be great
