I remember Jackie Beeson singing Nobody’s Child at the Barking Assembly Hall in about 1970 . It was even better than this !

I saw her perform this at a PA at, (I think!) The Hippodrome in London. Went out the next day and bought both 12“ singles, one the one pictured here, and the other a plain purple label remix.

Absolutely brilliant and without doubt one of the best singles of the 80s. The tune and production are first class it still sounds good. Should have been a massive hit x
