Sooo I'm brand new to crocheting... i made it to the gills and realized somethings way off 😩 I'm so ready to cry lol 😅 learning the magic circle was enough frustration haha! I'm going to start fresh... again 🫣😅 wish me luck. 😬🤞🏼 After i rest my hands tho, I've RA and this certainly challenges them. Q. just to be sure, the c1 & sl st count in the count for each row or no? So much new information! 😅 Thank you in advance! ❤
@@nyxiekilljoy4118 hi!! You got this!! It’s really not easy in the beginning 🤭 and the sl st & ch 1 don’t count as a stitch! When you start a new row you will sc in the same space where you did your sl at & ch 1
@LoopandBillie oh okay, thank you so much!
That is so cute 🥰
@@JudyHoch-t3o thank you 🫶🏻🫶🏻
Missed opportunity to show the coasters as an _actual_ bouquet 🤦🏼♀️💐
Just a few tips! Probably put confetti or something more into it so there’s not lots of extra space, separate bag for stickers, so there not so scattered
THANK YOU!!! My boyfriend loves plushies and axolotls! Making this as a gift!
@@jade_on_her_paws amazing!! 🫶🏻
how many bundles of yarn did you need?
@@cassyberry8846 only one!
Thank you so much for this informative video... Best video I've seen! The speed, the technique, the tips and tricks were so easy to follow ❤ and you covered so well the basics that I'm making now a 🦒 and a T-Rex 🦖🎉
@@angiemariacardonap6748 wow thank you so much for your feedback!! That makes me super happy 🥹 so cute. I will definitely make more tutorials!! ❤️
Do you chain 1 after each row
@@lilbitz1996 yes. I do a slip stitch to join the row & ch 1 before doing the first sc in the same stitch where I did the slip stitch!
RELEASEE
How can this be no sew if I'm making separate gills, arms/legs and then "attaching" them to the toy? I'm confused.
@@pamthetraveler7224 you’re attaching them with a no sew technique! Crocheting them with the body as you’re making the rows. You’re not going to crochet the whole body and then sew the gills and arms to it.
Sewing is using a plastic or weaving needle to sew a seperate piece such as a wing onto the piece you need it on,, this is just crocheting with the gill
Hi, do you count the slip stitch into the stitch count, please? I seem to constantly struggle with counting 😅
@@kristynatara413 hi! So the slip stitch is really there to connect the first and last stitches of the row together. Since your making your first sc of the next row in the same stitch where you did the slip stitch, you don’t count it :)
@@LoopandBillie aah, it makes sense now :) thank you! ❤️
@@kristynatara413 of course! ☺️
Ohh nooooo! I have a little dog and when I crochet she likes to watch me lol and the recent times she let her intrusive thoughts win and she took one of my mini bees and we know how that went😂
@@DaiseyMayCrochet 😂😂
Gurl I need a tutorial bad🥹
Where is the tutorial???
@@kathysikorski227 I followed the crochet flower coasters tutorial by Fibra Collective here on RUclips for the flower part! But I modified the beige coaster part to my liking 🙃
@@LoopandBillie are there written instructions
Thank you for your amazing tutorial! I’m french and it was easy to follow. Not gonna lie around the end I kind of stopped to follow the tutorial as it was getting a bit complicated but still ended up with a beautiful starfish. Good work with this pattern ! 🥰
@@serenaa.301 thank you so much!! 🤗 to be honest I wasn’t sure I was going to share it because I found it hard to explain in some places, but I’m glad I did it!! I really appreciate your comment.
@@LoopandBillie I’m glad you did too because there is only a few tutorials for this kind of starfish and yours is definitely the easier !
@@serenaa.301 that’s awesome, thank you! Please share 🙏🏻
Are the arms supposed to make it look like the axo is turning its head to the side? Because that's how mine is turning out.
Written Pattern I made from this video, because I know some people prefer the written pattern and I couldn’t find one in the comments. It has been adjusted a little bit from the pattern in the video, but it is mostly the same. Chain 9 (it may be more than nine depending on how you crochet, but for me it was 9) into the tail, working your way around. Row 2: ch1, turn your work, (*sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc* into one stitch. Sl st into next stitch. ) repeat 4 times (might be more if you had more chains). Sl st, fasten off. Feel free to ask in the replies if anything I’ve said makes no sense :D
