Track 2 “x37” is the fastest-paced song at 122 BPM from my EP. The theme of this song is to explore arpeggios, chord progressions, creative percussion as well as vocal elements. The melodic instruments on drop 2 contain soft synth keys as well as a soft piano. The gentle and warm sound from these two instruments contrasts against the harsh bit-crushed percussion. The third drop sustains the most energy within the track, having the electric piano with the Crystallizer plugin playing the same melody as the synths and soft piano. The voice speaks recognisable English, as well as experimental vocal hums and intonations. This creative choice of having the vocals transposed down and experimenting with hums and made-up words, made it seem as if another person was singing this track. This makes the audience question who is performing and keeps the voice exciting and unique for each song of the EP.

Live is an experimental live-recorded song that was created with sounds from the @teenageengineering OP-1 synthesiser. The BPM of this song is 98 and the outro section is 92 BPM. The key of “Live” is in F sharp minor. This song contains nine sections during the 3:05 minute run time. This song structure was an experiment and proved to be challenging during the recording process. The OP-1 synthesiser contains many unique and quirky sounds that were played and spread throughout the song. This created the idea of having nine different sections that are put together into one song. These parts are combined by keeping the F sharp minor key consistent throughout the song, as well as keeping the same drums during the track. The outro transitions into a sample from the third drop of the song.
