Hey, we're the Hayters. We might look normal, but we're anything but. Our pursuits and interests are expansive and grow from year to year, and revolve around things normal people wouldn't even consider. But one thing all our projects have in common is DIY. As we say, "Why buy it, when you can build it?" On this channel you can expect to see our adventures in making and doing things few others would dare to.
More videos to come. We are just getting started.

Hiking the Grand Canyon in a Day
Просмотров 7064 года назад
We'd never hiked together before. We'd been married for three weeks. We were going to hike the Grand Canyon. What could possibly go wrong? Down to the Colorado River and back in a day. This vlog records our hike of Bright Angel Trail.

Просмотров 230 тыс.4 года назад
We built this camper ourselves! Check out the final product. Full tour and camper building/adventure commentary on our 19-day cross-country trip.
You guys are awesome. I love you guys and your camper.for me that thing was just perfect. I hope you're both still enjoying your little camper.
Need more content. Really started to enjoy your down to earth videos.
Love the kitchen area
There are pass threws on commercial built teardrops
Nice video guys.
Love this! Keep it simple!
nice build, do you know how much it weighs? also, what type of hasps did you use to keep the back lid/door tight against the weather-stripping. Also, how is it holding up since you built it?
I REALLY ENJOYED YOUR VIDEO. HOPE YOUR STILL TOGETHER AFTER 3 YEARS (2024) YOU MAKE A CUTE COUPLE. I SPELLED TOGETHER WRONG ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT, TO -GET - HER THIS 69 YEAR OLD MAN SAYS AND KEEP HER
very smart to build a camper and start your marriage out with adventures enjoying nature
With a new teardrop trailer costing $15-25k, building one from wood and a simple trailer, you can probably do this for less than $3k, so even if it lasts a season or two, still worth it... GREAT IDEA. Only thing I didn't like was no escape window, if you door fails and you can't get out, having a 2nd exit is very important, dare I say needed.
Love it. so simple and smart.
Great little camper kids. As time rolls by and some monies are earned can see a power pack and fridge appear and maybe those big struts for the kitchen roof. Have a great and long life together. Cneers
It looks like you could make a wine glass with the other half. Have you experimented with that?
Very nice one. I build my own getaway trailers about 4 yrs ago.
Thanks for this video! 6:38 Please remember eye protection, as well. 7:35 Can you imagine that glass dust getting in your eyes‽ Yikes!
I love the simpicity, and the design.
I like your camper. Simple practical sturdy. The out- cropping on the front is great. Squared off design allows for multiple window positions. For non couples as in my case it might be a bit too cozy. So thought I would make a removable diagonal privacy partition. Two separate "pods" sort of. With separate doors on each side. The diagonal would allow sleeping head-to-foot with the torsos in the fatter end.
Thank you so much This is totally amazing
Cute Camper, You guys are cute! LoL
Any chance we can get a bit of a materials list? :)
Amazing... Congratulations
interesting subject for a mother and son to tackle
I wished you could somehow include wet technique into your sanding thus decreasing that cancer causing/harmful dust, getting into your lungs/eyes/skin etc
Interesting. Greetings from Seychelles Islands to both of you.❤❤
great job
Great job guys! Less is more for Shure!
Higher education and common sense too with the good sense to be frugal well done great job!
Yall are wholesome
All you do is sleep. You can not tell me you not once tested out the shocks on that thing . Come on newly weds . Tell me anything.
Is the trailer kept outside when not in use? If so how has the “poor man’s fiberglass” held up?
Very nice job and resourceful use of economical items.
You guys are awesome!
Very good job!! For two people on a grad school budget, simple and inexpensive is the way to go. HOWEVER, you should have gone further North from Kings Canyon. Next time you're out this way, take Hwy 49 from Oakhurst to Auburn.... the foothills of the Sierra is absolute gorgeous and you can do side trips to Yosemite and other mountain areas. You'll love it.
waste of time, effort & money. CJ MEJAR
Thank you for the video
Excellent job building your camper on a budget. It's not the most beautiful, but very functional and I love it! May God Bless you both!
I love that this feels like an add
I wish I was a nicer and kinder person and could do this with my wife. Not enough psych meds to make me nice :-(. But maybe one day we can do this too with our two little ones.
Good job keeping things simple. What did you use for insulation? How did you learn to do the wiring?
Do you guys still have your camper and do you use it anymore?
Nice teardrop camper. How can I contact you for some tip?
Great job. you two did an awesome job. Never heard of using bed sheets and paint to cover a trailer, gonna have to check that out more. Gotta be cheaper and easier than fiber glass cloth and resin.
Good job stay together and love each other forever 😉
awesome
Well made 🙌
It has been two years since your last upload. Just wondering how your life is now.
You too are such a cute young couple! I've watched all your videos now on RUclips, and enjoyed them all immensely! I wish you both lots of success on your "hobbyist" adventures! If you two are looking for more ideas on videos to create, what about zero waste DIY stuff? Or unique experience-type stuff such as geocaching in various city areas, or learning and teaching new skills to other RUclipsrs? Thanks for your VBlogs, great stuff! :) God bless.
He sure has a terrible memory....cant remember anything🙈
super neat and simple. love it!
Thanks for your video. I am looking for windows and now I know where to go 👍, thanks,
