I became fascinated with Ailsa Craig after reading "Stargazing" by Peter Hill where he worked as a light keeper in 1973. It has been great seeing some videos of the place and it really illustrates the things he wrote about in the book. Thanks for the very thorough guide around the island - I really appreciated it. That’s what exactly what I was saying when we were walking on Byne hill as it was the main focus of the day. Walk in spring time get the right day with all the wild flowers. Magic.
