Hi. Yes the airplane needs to be fully configured before intercepting the GS. Speedbrakes are occasionally required, but not for the full approach. In London City you'll need speedbrakes until landing.

Thank you for your kind comment. My advice to all student pilots is to begin their careers with an airline and once experienced try to find a job in corporate aviation. To get a job in corporate aviation as a beginner is very difficult as many of the aircraft owners want experienced crews on their planes. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your comment. The final segment of the approach ends about 5.8 miles from the touchdown zone. From there you can shallow the approach angle from 6° to 3° and you are expected NOT to pass over the hospital. The Localizer is also 6.5° offset towards the runway so you'll have to align the aircraft. All of this is much easier hand flown....and yes, it's nice to practise basic skills regularly.

Hi. You are correct that on this landing I was not perfectly aligned with the runway centerline. I see 2 possible why this happened: - strong winds that changes directions at low altitude - if I correct too much using the ailerons I risk to touch the runway with the wingtip (swept wing) But I could have done it better.
