Range Rover Classic Soft Dash 2.5TD Overview
Did you inspect why low oil pressure is indicated? It should be at max when cold. Something is wrong there.
Low oil pressure? Where? It is at 4bar :) The pressure meter in the tachometer is for the turbo's boost pressure
@@Balazs_Schmidt Yes, the 4 bar, I'm not being mean, I fought this issue myself. When it's cold it should top out at 5 or slightly above then gradualy go down somewhere between 2-4 bar at idle, but still build 5 bar when hot. There are multiple possible issues that causes this. The most common one is bad pressure sensor, then you have the wiring and gauges themselves. The best option would be to connect external oil pressure gauge instead of the pressure sensor and compare the results with what you see on car gauges. If the readings on external gauge is higher than the gauges in the car then all is good. Replace the sensos and if this doesn't help just forget about the problem. If the external gauge will show 4bar at cold, we have an issue. Either oil pump, worn bearings, issue with oil suction pipe, but the most probable(! also due how your gauges behave when you added bit of revs) is leaky OPRV valve in your oil cooler that lets the oil return to the pan. And it's not that it might be stuck a bit open, simply it seals may got stiff after so many years or some grime is depressed into the seal preventing plunge to completely close.
@@8359s Well, the oil pressure stated in the workshop manual is 4-5 bar at a cold engine, and 2-3 bar, when the engine is warm, at idle. Should rise to 4bar at 5000rpm when warm. So I see zero problems, but thank you for the insight! Thankfully everything is new in the engine, so there should be no problem :) Oil weight also influences the oil pressure though, so with thicker oils it is higher
Mine goes to max when cold, but it's true, the oil weight makes a difference. I'm using 15W50, with thinner oils maybe you don't max oil pressure even cold.
shes bootiful

That is very clean car. Nice vid.
Doesn’t look like a 88 steering wheel
but it is :)
@@Balazs_Schmidt think it makes a difference that your car is from Europe…American cars had air bag already in 88 and so the steering wheel is different
@@spdygon2766 That makes sense, here we only had them from the 89 model year
In Europe airbags in Porsche lineup were option in 1991 (first standard on 964 Turbo in spring 1991) and standard on all models (except some special editions such as RS, Speedster etc.) in 1992
BMW E38 740i So Good Keep it U
🇯🇵〜👍😀
You may need a new oil pressure sending unit. It resides to the right of the oil filter cannister. There is a single wire push on connector on the end of the unit.
Sounds nice Looks nice too. It sounds almost exactly like a triumph TR6 or 2500
Beautiful!!!

it just needs chrome bumpers otherwise PERFECTION!
I am geniunely speechless on how beautiful this 240z is :o
