My poor father got flesh-eating disease, and had to have a piece of bone cut out of his hip and added to his neck, and wear a metallic box frame around his head, sort of reassembling Darth Vader, strangely enough. He fell years later, cut open his head, and had to have surgery at 86 a week before Christmas. He died less than two weeks after Christmas. He died sharing a hospital room with a celebrated Black American poet and cinematic writer, who read aloud his poem about racism as my father lay dying. My father had many struggles in his life. I hope now wherever he is that he is happy, free of misery, peaceful and loved.

For example, I acquired the French translation of The Devil Wears Prada. Before reading it, I watched the movie in English. Still planning to get the original English novel and read them side by side. Working on jargon in the fashion industry, slang, girl talk, chic flick vocabulary and idioms in French. I want to know everything in French 🥖🥖

Laugh, but by watching<< Le Dîner de Cons>> over a hundred times in a short period I broke my English accent and started to speak like a native. I am an actor, played the lead role in 2 plays. Think theatre 🎭 when breaking an accent. Step into a French person's shoes, memorize not just the words but the rhythm, too.
