As a Marketing Manager for Suzuki Panama, I can confirm the she's right, the name come from the revival of the sedan model Suzuki Fronte but now evolving into a crossover coupe, for that reason SMC create the name of Fronx.

Drove both and went for I Pace HSE. The interior of the Y not quite good enough even though it had better range/infrastructure etc. I also didn’t like controlling everything via the oversized iPad . Had the Jaguar a couple of weeks but I still keep sneaking a little peek back at it as I walk away, it’s a handsome beast.

So the Toyota and the Fronx are basically the same car... however I must tell you that they are produced on separate production lines and certain elements differ. The Toyota gearbox I feel is excellent. The Toyota does cost more but for re-sell value I think it's worth the extra cash. Please subscribe to my channel.. It is free

Suzuki is great value. The Fronx is quite a bit more than the Baleno though... it is a crossover which gives it a more solid feel. Please subscribe to my channel. It is free
