dont stands are fully manifistation of the user soul, so Mahito soul hax wouldnt really work, man stand user are Mahito natural enemy by existance
I don't think Josuke could repair damage done by Mahito, idle transfiguration transforms the soul and by extension the body in usually harmful ways. However, these wouldn't really be injuries it's just that how your body is now is actively detrimental, and just like Okuyasu's dad being tranformed into something isn't something Crazy Diamond could fix.
That's definitely one way to look at it, I thought of this more from the angle of Josuke being able to do things like transform his enemies into objects like a rock and a book being somewhat similar to something like idle transfiguration (hence the "same type of stand" joke). With stands essentially being soul power there's many ways they could interreact that would make sense that I simply didn't think of. These sorts of crossovers can be neat little thought experiments and I'm happy you've thought of an alternate possibility like this, thanks for the comment!
Actually If you look at it properly Josuke never healed anyone or anything, what he does is restoration of something to its previous state or mess it up real bad and he mostly fixes things which make it look like he's healing people while actually it isn't healing but restoration so he can actually fix anyone and anything as long as it exists also crazy diamond never tried to fix Okeyasu's dad same with Kishibe Rohan he also refused it when asked by okuyasu.

@@mystrenula3911 He can fix everything other than himself and other stands (although if he fixes the user the stand will automatically get restored anyway) whatever and whover it is
@@thestudymaster01 it is very specifically stated in the manga that he can only restore things that are damaged and that a mutation like Okuyasu's dad isn't considered damage, that's just how they are and I am making the point that that would go the same for idle transfiguration.
