Which gauge wire should I use?
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.6 лет назад
Which gauge wire should I use? A. You can find floral wire stems at any major retailer (Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc.) B. The lower the gauge number, the thicker and stronger the wire. A 10 gauge wire will be thicker and stronger than a 28 gauge wire. C. 22 gauge wire and up can be used for real flowers as it does not completely puncture or destroy the stem and flower. You can use these t...

You're going to be following the same directions for this tutorial, but the only difference is that your flowers will not be raw. Tip A. Make sure your flowers are COMPLETELY dry! How to Dye Sola Wood Flowers! *Remember, you can go from a lighter shade to a darker shade but NOT vice versa. You may add more or less acrylic paint OR water to your mixture as you wish. I would do a test run with your ratios to get your desired color saturation. Below is my suggestion to get a medium to light coverage for your flowers. Depending on your brand of acrylic paint, these suggested...

I'll remember this, lol .... last night I was just playing with the stemming I used the wire stems it came with and even though I didn't use glue cause I was just testing it out it didn't seem sturdy. I could just be overthinking it. Or just anxious to get started. I think my biggest hurdle will be the stemming and the storage. Someone recommend storage containers. My wedding isnt till May of next year so I still have time but I want to get as big of a head start as possible.
