Well done! 7 km out of a 2700 mAh battery with a twin motor is pretty good. Depending on the age of the battery, it may not hold the full, theoretical capacity.

Pretty brave to keep on flying through the "blizzard". I would have pulled out a lot earlier. Try a patch antenna, preferably with tracking, you'll get heaps more range.

Yea, I'm big fan of multiplex :) Those gliders are just great. Although I need to play more with COG or smth. Plane is kinda unstable during the launch. It tries to roll left and gains speed very hard.

I'm not sure why it should go blank, never noticed that. Anyway there are not many settings to change for that devices, remove if there any standby, power saving modes.

@sparrowlt I've been loosing link with Futaba 9c 35MHz + corona rx way under 1 km sometimes. It highly depends on your location, fpv gear emissions on the plane and overall noise at that requency. I would recommend lawmate RX, imo the bestest in the low end receivers range. Much better filtering and sensitivity than no name rivals.

@fpvlt well.. i dont know even where begin yet.. but i think im sure i will my Futaba 7C 35mhz (it emmits at 490mW and i tested it 4km across a city and it still had control) and for video Tx 1300mhz.. i dont want to use the fatshark stock antena ..if i would use Fatshark i would get an outside Rx system.. but i havent yet even decided wich to use or how or what :D

@sparrowlt Yes, I'm using fatshar aviator edition video glasses. More about them on fpv.lt But be aware that it will be very difficult or even impossible to fly 2 km range with iomni anntena in fatshark. You should use patch or something similar.

Im trying to start in FPV and would like a setup safe for at least 2kms (not that i want to wander far right away but as a safety adding).. This seem to work quite well.. you usign glasses?

@jacob3800 FPV is something you do, not something you buy. This actual rig is quite on low end, and it's possible to get it for 300-500$.

@dextersxxxxlab Yes. I'm very happy with the record quality. It's not the cheapest but worth every pound I've paid for it. Atleast better than 90% cheap SD recorders. I think you can find it for about 50-80 pounds on ebay.

Jo, irasineta ant zemes. Dar problemu siek tiek liko, bet manau issispres su kryptine antena, cia kolkas su 2 omni antenelem. Gaila, kad sita kamera graziai spalvas rodo, bet siukslina i UHF dazni..., gali tekt keist, nebent pavyks isfiltruoti :)

ACtually I've tried extend antena and measure rssi level. I've found that peak rsssi was reached when anteanna lenght was 2 m. Not sure why, but it didn't affected the max range.
