Thanks for posting this useful information. It is hard to understand why this device is not outputting a true sine wave in 2021. The stepped square wave can damage some switching power supplies and void the warranty so it is not worth the risk for me..

This is one of the many IDEH (Industrial Development & Environmental Health) experiments done to try and determine the accuracy of the meters, calculate initial power consumption through In-Rush current determinations of various equipment, and also find suitable auxiliary power supplies (e.g. batteries, inverters, generators etc.) for these equipment. This is preliminary investigation. This experiments deals with Oxi-Reduction Potential (ORP) and pH measurements using YSI's EcoSense ORP 15A, EcoSense pH 10A meters, and Horiba LAQUAtwin pH-33 meter, and HM TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) meter on the Red River in East Grand Forks, Minnesta on April 28, 2019. The field testing was done on the Red River of the North in the vicinity of the Minnesota (MN)/North Dakota (ND) border at East Grand Forks, MN. TDS reading (HM TDS meter) - 163 - 164 ppm (mg/l) pH meter reading (Horiba LAQUAtwin pH-33) = 7.89 - 7.93 (temperature = 12.1 Centigrade, mV = - 47) pH meter reading (YSI EcoSense pH 10A) = 7.98 - 8.4 (temperature = 11.3 - 11.9 Centigrade) ORP (YSI EcoSense ORP 15A) = 165 to 168 mV (temperature 11.6 celcius) ORP readings possibly indicate the water is Oxic.
