This is something so important for places like the hospital. All the good nurses I work with calmly explain things in layman terms to often translate what the doctor says and orders. It’s your right to be included and informed in your care (it’s actually illegal to get uninformed consent) so it’s essential to be able to explain things without belittling someone. Of course this isn’t always the case and that’s sad.
