I used to have a 1970 Buick GS Skylark 455 I daily drove from 1979, when I was in high school, to 1988. It was not uncommon back then for people to drive cars like that daily. I now own a 1986 Chevy, square body, Crew Cab 1-ton 4X4 that has 12" lift with 40" tires. I do not like to daily drive that truck because it attracts too much attention. I cannot go anywhere with that truck without some dirt bag coming up to me saying "nice truck", "Is it for sale?", and then in the same breath ask "Do you have any spare change?". I cannot leave that thing in a parking lot for 20-minutes without coming back to notes stuck all over it by scamming dirt bags wanting to know if I want to sell it. People want that truck so bad they would be willing to rob me for it at gun point if they could, but too bad for them I have a CCW permit.

That's a great question for sure. I believe it was Fusick's had a bunch of that stuff, but as with anything. You will end up getting it from about a dozen different places. I have a list for this car that has like 50 different possible locations to get stuff for the car. I sure it is far from complete. My Super Bee was the same way. I spent like 300 hours on that car researching and locating all the parts it.

@@michaelannen4168 What's "meticulously maintained"? Oil changes at 10k miles like the owner's manual says? LMFAO. I own a 2016 GM LS motor. 80k miles. Not only does it not burn "excessive oil", it doesn't burn any oil at all. I check the oil frequently and I've never needed to add a drop. I drove a 1998 Ford Modular for 300k miles and I'd occasionally add a half quart between oil changes. The only issue that motor had was a blown head gasket after 200k miles.

My friend bought a new 2017 Chevy 4 cyl. for his wife, wth extended warranty, had the dealer do all service on time and at 70k was burning over a guart per 1000 miles. They sealed the drain plug and tested it and said it was normal. He wrote GM several letters to complain and after much hassle GM agreed to split the cost of a new engine at $14k? Something like that. He sold the car to Carmax and won't by another GM.

It sat there for two years with a price of $1250. The tag said For Off Road Use Only!!! I think that scared a lot of hillbillies off😅. Sorry bout that. It did disappear finally. Yes, it was just that the lifters were not pumped up yet. It's quiet now.

Had a similar bad experience with 1A Auto last week. I too am done with online parts. I'll watch their DIY videos all day long

Thanks for watchin'. I too like their videos. They do them well. That stinks that you had a bad experience with them. I think the online places just don't care that much. If they are like the auto parts stores, they don't pay anything either. I'm pretty lucky, I've got a couple of very good people that I deal with locally.

you did what a Ford owner would do in that situation just keep cranking it after hearing a concerning noise coming from the engine and it backfiring through the carburetor🤦‍♂️

Any rubbing on the fuel line when gunning the engine will cause a fuel leak. Check out the line is clear to move without any rubbing while driving.

you are a joke, did you not see the MSD blaster coil and coil wire on top of the HEI cap with power wires run to the external coil. That means it has been converted to external coil. your not a wiring guru?? your not a car guru, you remind me of a high school shop class teacher those who can't teach. It was a pain to watch you

Just take the back seat out and you can access the trunk and use a flat screwdriver and there's a slot in the truck lock, stick the screwdriver in the slot and turn the screwdriver and the trunk opens
