Hey guys; just wanted to go over some things. First off, Ik this video is super late, as I am just now getting around to editing it, and there will be many more to come. 2nd of all, the source where I get the train symbols is no longer available to me, so I will no longer be able to share the train symbols anymore. Thanks once again for all of your continued support, and stay safe out there!

Hey guys; sorry for no narration on this video, but I only remembered to get the symbol for one of the trains, so narration (in my opinion) would be kinda worthless, but narration will resume next video so don't worry :) Thank you for tuning in!

    The only nitpick I have with this sequence is the noticeable difference in the lead engine that's pulling the freight train that was shown. At points 0:14 and 0:27, they are entirely two different locomotives, as well as the cars they both pull. With that out of the way, this movie is an engaging watch.

    Why are they wanting to go to Portland

    • @whiteknightcat
      @whiteknightcat День назад

      The destination of train #19 (Shack's train) is Portland. Because the young "Cigaret" had bragged to others that it was HE who had successfully ridden the #19 earlier and lived to tell about it, when it was actually A#1 who had saved his hide, A#1 felt he had to publicly demonstrate that it was he who had done so, and would prove it by riding the train to the end of its run. The originating point of the train is not specified other than it is a railyard somewhere. In reality, the Oregon, Pacific & Eastern Railway (the one identified in the film) was a shortline that only ran 18 miles between the towns of Cottage Grove (where it interchanged with the Southern Pacific RR) and Disston (both south of Eugene). The last vestiges of the actual OP&E were abandoned in 1994 and part of the ROW is now a trail.
