Thanks for the video. I was looking for the videos about Gautrain. The Gauteng Premier announced in 2024 that a Gautrain extension line would be built in the future. The estimated cost is R120 billion ($6.411 billion USD). What do South Africans think of the extension line?

Eish, those border crossings are hectic! Been there, bought the fridge magnet. It's almost as bad as travelling to London Heathrow via Dubai, the passport controls and paperwork required is enough to make one stay at home, but I suppose the end destination,☺ justifies the means.

Orania is the only safe place in South Africa

Brakpan has its nice areas and then the poorer areas like any other town. Streets are always clean and some friendly people. Prefer Brakpan to Germiston which is filthy and run down.

The Train to Pretoria is currently sharing line with Germiston trains so that's why is running after hours but they busy fixing Johannesburg to Pretoria meaning it won't have to share lines with Germiston trains.

The train infrasrtucture looks fairly new. Especially compared to the only thing I know about SA railways which is a route for the Train Simulator Classic game from Pietermaritzburg to Ladysmith. Fun video, greets from Utrech the Netherlands (I heard there is an Utrecht in SA as well?)

There are so many brakpan jokes.

Lived here 50 years & counting. I read 33 comments relating to the opinions of those who don't know or would not go to certain places in the CBD area which puts you's out of arms ways. You may have driven through the boulevard, widows shut, doors locked & done so quickly. Let me draw you a picture. The boulevard is a network of thieves, hustlers, dealers, runners & con artists. How do I know this? I purchase cannabis from one of many dealers or from a shop called "Holy Smokes". I am disabled and suffer from extreme pain. Gen Pain or any other Pain Pill is just not good enough. So I turned to Cannabis. Two weeks ago I bought a Joint, cannabis rolled cigarette from "Holy Smokes". Legally. Each costing R60.00. You get R90.00 which are stronger and do what they are meant to do. Outside "Holy Smokes" there is a network of individuals who all work together & sell "Crystal Meth". How do I know this? Eventually you are recognized from been the odd one out. Wrong colour etc. I have been offered "Crystal Meth" without asking. Around the corner there is a shop that sells "Magic Mushrooms" if you know the owner. All on one block. I've been robbed, cheated out of money & pick pocketed. Been disabled makes me a easy target. HARD TO BELIEVE. If you want a guided tour on what I've said to be true = I will take you on this tour, to prove what I say is true.

Grew up in Brakpan. Fun facts. Had the first Woolworths Foood. Biggest Makro in the Country and have Carnival City. Best butchery in the East! No we are not common.
