    Wow I love this caleb! Makes me wonder what kind of camera you are using because your transitions and scenes are so smooth and unhurried. It will take me a while to watch it all. I really appreciate the historical info provided as you transitioned from location to location.👍😊 Thank you for sharing this❤️

    This is such a good sign of perhaps positive things to come! The government needs to propose some incentive for upstarts in the transportation industry. In contrast we have lost intercity bus services and the rail pipe dream making this a very unfriendly place for tourists in general. I remember how it was being a tourist myself over a decade ago and then there was much more infrastructure than now. Going to countries like Turkey and experiencing their transport systems all over makes me feel so embarrassed for our own. Bravo Hullo, will be seeing you soon!

    Both ships are in process of early renovations...... One has completed already as of Late November.............the Sphuels....... the Stuqhi............the ship you were on will be going to dry dock soon for same reno which I was told is to install a cafe..........which will hopefully include a wider selection of hot food items and coffee............I have yet to see the renos on the ships but can't wait to see if they actually did expand the cafe for more food offering..............................I have been on Hullo Ferries 12 times and all the rides were smooth and comfortable.....have yet to experience a fairly rough ride as you did.....

      Thanks for the update Brad. My review was based on my ride during the first week it began operations and so, as time passes my video will increasingly be out of date as Hullo Ferries continues to adapt and improve. Maybe in a year I'll do an updated video. And as for the smoothness of the ride, I agree with you. I've ridden on Hullo at least 6-8 more times since that first week and the rides have all been smooth sailings. I love this service and it's clear to me that Hullo Ferries is here to stay and that's a great thing. Thanks again for your updates.

    I'd like to know why it was a better business decision to do this in Nanaimo not Victoria?

    • @Dbodell8000
      @Dbodell8000 Год назад

      Cause Nanaimo is far more central and better situated than Victoria. Victoria doesn't need to always get everything all the time.

  • @lenimbery7038
    @lenimbery7038 Год назад

    No fault of the ferry company themselves, but I found that the time boarding and disembarking and the seclusion of the ferry terminal with poor signage is what made it inconvenient for me. I'll just pay the extra and take the harbour air flights as you've only got a handful of other passengers with you

      Nanaimo is far more central then Victoria and more likely to succeed for that reason.

  • @drumswest5035

    I hope they succeed but this has been attempted several times before and all have failed. They keep using these small crafts ( which these are) and Its the winter weather that does them in, it can get incredibly rough in the straight

    • @calebwilliamson6383
      @calebwilliamson6383 Год назад

      Yes, the upcoming winter season will determine whether the Ferries will succeed. But I think they will. The following articles had some good points, particularly about Hullo Ferries having deep pockets due to being financed by private equity firms in Toronto. Even if they have to cancel sailings throughout the winter, the business will be able to withstand that and continue to operate. www.google.com/amp/s/biv.com/article/2023/08/hullo-aims-succeed-where-other-ferry-operators-have-failed%3famp dailyhive.com/vancouver/hullo-ferries-vancouver-nanimo-increased-sailings-ridership?Urbanized%20Vancouver%20-%20August%2031%202023&Urbanized%20Vancouver%20-%20August%2031%202023+CID_93245a3cf0425a7cfa412f8a875ef939&Email%20marketing%20software&Hullo%20Ferries%20adds%20more%20daily%20Vancouver-Nanaimo%20sailings%20amidst%20strong%20ridership Time will tell but I think the time is right for this business and I think the vessels will be able to withstand the winter waves, for the most part. The CEO said as much in the above article in the Daily Hive. Here's hoping.🤞

      @@TheUnknownVideographer I am one of those passengers. I'm just very prone to it compared to others. I'll be sticking to the larger boats with their stabilizers even if it means more travel time and a bus to downtown. That being said, I hope the ferry succeeds as people with their sea legs or generally strong stomachs should have no problem even in the winter.

    I will do a day trip to Nanaimo just to see how the ferry is. I too am hoping for this to succeed even though I’m not someone who will be using it very often. I see a lot of pessimism online though and hope everyone is proven wrong.
