I know it's not real for our universe, perhaps somewhere else, but i really wish a big time animator make a whole movie using impression VAs, it be amazing.

Such an incredible song choice for this film. And the moments you’ve chosen to pull from the movie are such great choices. Really brings me back to what I love about Goncharov.

Fun fact: Goncharov was actually released in Finland only in the early 90s because its initial release got blocked due to "anti-Soviet sentiment". There were illegal copies with questionable subtitles (those VHSs are now worth a ton of money among collectors!), so it still became a cult classic.

And the tension between Andrey and Goncharov!! Thank you so much for reminding me of such an influential movie in my childhood!! Im going to go rewatch this later tonight!

Can't wait for the Remake! It's quite fantastic than all the movies I watched, And the showdown? PERFECTION! The Ending was quite shocking where Goncharov was timing his place before his death. Quite beautiful for a film!

I remember my Dad and I used to watch this movie when I was a kid. I remember being amazed by the writing and acting, and was left shaking after the hotel room scene. My dad used to hug me during the scary bits, and I have some great memories watching this with him. Now whenever I watch this, I always shed a few years. Not just because of the emotionally devastating 4th act, but also because it reminds me of those moments with my Dad. Appreciate every second with your loved ones, because you never know when they will be taken from you. I love you dad

i hadn't seen this movie since i was a child, but when it started getting popular i dug around for the vhs and watched it again. i was soaked in tears by the end. i'm not going to spoil anything, but the symbolism throughout the film and the characters and their journeys touched my heart in a way you can't imagine. me and my wife and my wife's girlfriend and our five cats and one chihuaha (Steven) and the wall raccoon found a new outlook on our lives and relationships, and we are forever changed. this movie was an absolute 10/10 and i'm so happy it's finally getting the appreciation it deserves.

God this movie... I feel like nobody ever brings it up in conversations about the classics, but it's so devastatingly poignant. That scene with Katya gazing up at that clock is still seared on my brain after all these years. And the showdown? Ugh!! They just don't make cinema like this anymore. <3 Thank you for your tribute to the best mafia movie of all time!
