I would have rather seen the Royals, Tigers, or Guardians face the Dodgers. Sure, none of them would likely had a chance but I think more people would have been rooting for any of these teams over the Yankees and each of these teams have some unique characteristics that might have given LA a better challenge. KC's starting pitching, Cleveland's unique lineup and timely hitting, and whatever AJ Hinch figured out in the last 25% of the season with Detroit. Hopefully each of these teams and Baltimore continue to improve so we do not have to watch this NY nonsense again next year.

I remember watching the movie when i was in HS in the 80s and my dad telling me to let him know if he ever acts like Jimmys father.My dad took the opposite approach he use to watch my games in his car from behind the left field fence and drink beers, he thought if he sat in the stands it would make me nervous. This didn't alll click in till recently when I rewatched the movie at age 57, why he sat in his car .I am glad I watched this vid because this whole time i thought Jimmy was some guy whos father drove him crazy, the movie really was a bad representation of the truth, I had no idea jimmy played for as long as he did, and that he wasn't as crazy as the movie depicted him to be.

Need to be a true baseball fan and a traditionalist with sense of design to rank the mlb hats. Cant have a clown doing it.

Jimmy was not a psychopath he suffered from bipolar disorder poplar disorder. He battled back and had a career in baseball. Tony Perkins who took the part of Jimmy in the movie fear strikes out played a psychopath in the movie Psycho. Be very careful what you say about a person who is struggling with mental illness.

There was the special on ESPN many years ago play interviewed 2 Retired umpires from Billy's managing days both of those guys said he was tough but he was fair they said he never came out in question something that was obvious they also said he knew the game far better than most managers. They spoke about the Pine Tar incident with George Cry-Baby Brett and both of those umpires agreed that call of him being out should not have been overturned. The bat was illegal yes only pine tar but Billy knew the rules

Not a fan of the pitch clock to be real. Injuries and elbow injuries have skyrocketed and to be real and yes attendance has gone but earlier in the season but now in the dog days of summer fans are checked out I feel

Roger Maris was a baseball icon. I was behind first base as an 11 year old fan when he hit 61. It was a thrilling moment. Yankee fan forever.
