Miz I just discovered your channel and Subscribed. I like you and Charlie talking together. I really like Charlie. Miz good luck from Tennessee.
Well done, just subscribed.
thank you, i'll try post every week!
Good video, my advice would be to film whats going on infront of you and talk about your surroundings rather than just have the camera pointing at you, no offence i just want to see Manchester, not you 😂 i will subscribe though and i hope to see more crackie garden footage 👍
Thanks, it won't always be manchester tbh!
Keep it going
@@rutherglenbluebell5 thank you, appreciate it.
nice, keep up the good work!
@@Harry7855 thank you very much.
Cracky Gardens😂 Keep the content rolling
@@chrismitchell6923thanks mate
@@MizMatteoI think doing some football tours or podcasts would make good content too ⚽️
Are you a Burnley fan by any ? that through me a bit. Thought I skipped your vlog for a few seconds.
@@RyanPhilips-x1i yes i'm a burnley fan, haha ahh it was meant to be a quick 5 second clip when the preacher said: what goes on in your tiny mind 🤣🤣
@@MizMatteoNow I understand 😂
I did this in the 1990s, in November, for Children in Need. It was cold and damp, and negotiating detours across fields, through styles, with full panniers was no fun! We started on Friday evening from Leeds, stopped at Crossflatts. In the morning rode from there to Accrington, the half way point. Stopped overnight in a B&B, then from there to Liverpool on Sunday. Was ready to throw my bike in the canal by then! Raised some money for a good cause. Don't do it the other way as you did! The run down to Wigan was a great downhill run!
great effort and good video mate , i did this last july for charity in torrential rain was an awful day broke my phone and bike in the process but i am planning to do it again sometime next year its a great ride when you get perfect weather conditions lol
let me know, we could do it for charity
@MizMatteo absolutely mate 👌
Great effort. Nutrition and especially liquid intake are genuine issues on long rides like this. Drink. Eat. Pedal. Okay there were almost no hills but your terrain was challenging due to the ofren awful surface and narrow paths.
Great video shame abot the music
Thanks, it was a hell of a ride, thanks for your feedback, do you not like the music at all or just too loud or do you think it would’ve been better without any background music?
Awesome achievement 👏
Thanks, it was hard !
Fantastic achievement. 🎉🎉
Thanks!
Great footage, looks like an fantastic spot.
Hi ya from leeds. What tyres did you use?well,i enjoyed that,an inspiration at least. The hotel looks good, did they let you keep the bike there too?.cheers, fellow hardtail rider😊
Morning, the tyres are schwalbe smart sam, active, 2.25 for both front and back, thank you for your comment, it was a hell of a ride tbh. Yeah hotel was nice, shame didn’t get to spend too long in there, yeah bike was placed in concierge room in the lobby. Are you going to attempt the ride?
Hi.certainly put that seed in my head though,we have similar bikes,so that's a starting point, you free Leeds,or at least how did you get you bike there then?.cheers again
Great stuff, well done my man
Thanks Matt. ^Matt;).
Nice
Nice work man
Amazing shots
If ya can cycle 10 miles then you can do 100 miles on flat.. just beware there are a lot of boggy grass parts if it’s in wet season. It saps the energy ..
Wow well done
thanks mate, it was good fun ;)
Awesome stuff Matt! 🚀
Soldier
Nice, I did it around 12 years ago in 9hrs 29mins, then the year after a guy on Strava beat me by just 13 minutes. I was gutted, but never got around to trying to get it back.
Nice, that’s an awesome time. I’m tempted to do it again but just get to Liverpool early without the hotel stay. Actually it would be interesting to know the ‘record’ of it done on a bike, 9:29 is impressive mate.
@@MizMatteoIt was mid week, and I only stopped for nature breaks and once got lost near Chorley where there was a branch to a dead end.
@@JohnClimber nice, good effort that. Yes, I know the section that you mean!
What was your longest distance before completing this?
I'd say around 50/60m, haven't really done anything this crazy just thought i'd see if i could do it really. the tow-path wasn't all smooth/flat either which made it hard work and my bike was stuck in a high gear from the start unfortunately so that didn't help either, are u thinking of building up your stamina and having a go at it next year :D
@@MizMatteoThat’s a big jump in miles! Good job.
@@LornaT460 thank you, please subscribe :)
Great effort you’ve inspired me to try and do it next summer 👏🏻
Thank you very much, if you do it let me know, i'll have another go and try and beat my time;)
Thanks for the little chat. I'm the guy that ran it twice
Great effort!! Well done both of you
Hell of an achievement
@@gmivisualsjason3729 thanks, they say you can do anything if u put your mind to it;)
awesome, looks like a good walk!
Good effort guys and a good little video 👍
Brew Barge is great was there this weekend
Nice, looks like a good ride!
Knowing most stretches I’d just do barlick to leeds
@@Lorneplumber yeah, very nice section!
Apart from the bit just after rolls Royce which is shocking if you’re not on an mtb 🙄😀

@@chrismitchell6923 cheers mate!
I’m going to try this next week. Useful to see what to expect so thank you.
@@andrews6228 let me know if u do it !
Got it done.. took 11 hours. Did it on a single speed gravel bike. Not the right bike tbh. Need a hard tail for the rocky and muddy sections. Other issue was not starting till half 8 so last hour was in the dark but that was actually quite good fun! Cheers
The goat 🐐🔥 congratulations 🎉
@@dodii03 nice to meet you!
