Does it go over those lips to clean your water lines? I got a blue nexus that wouldnt get past the lower lips so I had to get a handheld vacuum to clean the waterlines myself😢

I used Emperor 400 filters for many years, with good results. I never experienced the bio-wheels stopping. The spraybar above the wheels was adjustable with a small knob on the side, and could be positioned to make the wheels turn rapidly, slowly, or not at all. It sounds as if your spraybar wasn't adjusted properly. My filters ran for more than a decade, I replaced the impellers in them at least once when they wore out, but they were otherwise reliable with no other problems. I also liked that the Emperor was made of a denser, sturdier plastic, not fragile and brittle like the Aqua-Clear. I eventually stopped using the Emperors, not because of any failure, but because I went to fully planted tanks, and plants prefer less surface agitation than most HOB filters provides.

Have you gotten the unit to clean the walls yet, or are you considering a return? I'm about to purchase this robot, but I'd absolutely be returning if it doesn't climb the walls and hit the waterline.

I can appreciate this video. Not everyone has the money to get the big speakers. Sometimes the room doesn't need the big stuff. I started to get my wife to accept a speaker that was not built into the tv... lol. I've grown and grown since then, as my finances have allowed.

Lube the metal rod of the impeller! Had the same (typical) issue, which is a vibrating impeller sound, a sound that got enhanced by the lid and casing, causing a very annoying and loud rattling sound. To the point it will drive you up the the walls! I used petroleum jelly (it IS fish safe, don't worry, it just needs more frequent lubing as it lasts less long than silicone grease) on the stem of the propeller and the vibrating was gone. It's running dead silent now, besides of the water trickling down. Keep in mind you might have to redo this once every month or so, or whenever the rattling starts again (IF it starts again), but if it takes care of that sound: who cares. You need to do maintenance on those propellers anyway, sooooo... adding quick small blob of lube isn't the end of the world, right? Here's another tip: use a pre-filter on the inlet. This will prevent from debris (and fish) entering the propeller, which can cause permanent damage. No grease in the world will be able to solve that one. You would think that, after being on the market for so many years already, they would have fixed the very common issue already, huh. One major downside of the Aquaclear (same for the Marineland too): it doesn't prime itself. Keep this in mind when you have regular power outages or when cleaning the thing. Running the propeller dry will cause damage (not within 5 minutes of course, but if you're at work and it happens: oh boy). The Marineland is in my opinion a good filter by itself, but the bio-wheel - its selling point - is not reliable at all. Everyone who owns one complains about the same problem: the bio-wheel just not spinning around anymore, no matter what you do. It just sits there, doing nothing. I think that the cheap-plastic hinges where it sits in get worn down from the rotations after a while, resulting in the wheel not being able to spin anymore. No one has come up with a solution for that one yet, which makes me think it's a irreversible damage. I think that if they would replace them with steel (both the pins on the wheels AND the hinges) it would get rid of that particular problem as steel doesn't wear down as fast as plastic.

Your speaker placement is one of the main reasons why you are not getting the most out of your sound. But hope you enjoy the upgrade

This cassette is a cheaper Sunrace version that's compatible with Shimano Claris. It's not a Shimano Claris cassette.

My brightness settings work backwards like that. Sound is good. Also find many settings menus is asian language only, and the supposed Android 6 actually still 4.4 by the look of it. Stay away from Panlelo.
