The irony in this is that I had tried this race twice, once with the BMW, and the second with the GTR and I was losing my mind with the back end going out on both of them. Swapped to the Porsche, and no problem. I'm not sure honestly, perhaps because I use the MR cars more often, so they feel more natural to me. There is a bit of counter steering coming out of corners and getting in the gas though.

@@StrykerCDNRacing think I read that increasing the preload helps and reducing the clutches to 2 or 4. I do prefer the Porsche as the other cars don't seem so alive and slow visually

@mattdack2225 Yeah. I had played ACC the day before, so I may have been off, but the Porsche and Mclaren are my favorite by far.

@@StrykerCDNRacing what do you prefer? ACC or ams2? I was thinking of going back to ACC but ams2 is nicer visually and greater options of vehicles

@mattdack2225 I prefer playing AMS2 purely for the VR experience. I'm waiting patiently for LeMans Ultimate to officially support VR. I like the feel of the cars in ACC though with regards to connectivity with the track. Excited for the AMS 1.6 update which hopefully brings everything together.

Correct. I record my race, then record the replay, then slap it together after with some color correction to my liking.

Yeah the McLaren GT3 is one of my favourite cars to drive in AMS2. I have used the F1 LM version a bunch of times, but agree, I do find it harder to drive with no TC. Not nearly as crazy as the Group C cars though. I found shifting a little earlier or keeping it in 2nd, or 3rd for slower corners would help a bit with wheel spin and such.

Thanks for watching, and the feedback. I like using it for relative distances between drivers. I do think it can be a bit much with the "car on the left", "still there" etc. I don't mind mixing it up with Crew Chief off here and there, or reducing the frequency of chatter.

It's your channel so you can do what you like. The race engineer audio is fine. I just find the idea of one guy calling out your traffic all the way around a track like Brands Hatch quite unrealistic. To be honest I would watch more of your videos if the spotter mod was not used.

I appreciate the feedback regardless. I wasn't really aware that you could turn just that portion off. I just finished a race on Suzuka with spotter off and only the main guy and I kinda like it better. Thanks again.

@BenSalzmann If you're in to custom FFB I've heard the Danielkart one is pretty good. Haven't tried it myself, and I honestly don't mind the Default+.

@@StrykerCDNRacing I've played with some, I don't think I've tried the Danielkart ones. I used an rFuktor file for a while but ultimately went back to Default+ because it didn't have enough front-end information.

Hi Mark. I'm not familiar with the Shinecon so I looked into it a bit. Since it's using your mobile phone as the screen it looks like it's only compatible with VR apps from the Play store, and Apple store. I don't believe there is any way for you to use this headset for PCVR gaming.

If you mean car setup, I usually run default with front brake ducts open a bit, and 100% on brake pressure.

Ha! I just noticed the Kodak in your name. That works out nicely for you.

Rift S max fps is 80. The display can be a little blurry for things that are further away, but things closer are clear enough in my opinion. You can bump up super sampling as well which helps in clarity.

If you don't have it already, download and install Content Manager for AMS2 through the link here: www.racedepartment.com/downloads/automobilista-2-content-manager.59727/ After you have that installed, there will be a shortcut to launch it on your desktop. When you open that application it will looks very basic. Download the mods that you want from the following link: www.mediafire.com/folder/3hr7iy48epp88/Automobilista_2_Mods_by_Thunderflash The top 3 are the ones I downloaded since I prefer GT racing. When you have them downloaded, all you need to do is drag the files from wherever you saved them, on to the AMS2 Content Manager screen, and click the "Apply" button at the bottom, just wait a minute and they will be installed. From there, you can close Content Manager and launch the game. NOTE: When in game, you can't filter cars to say, the GT section or whatever it is because the mods won't be listed there, you need to have it on the Alphabetical order, or whichever one is not going to filter out any cars since these don't seem to be bound to a group like that. If you scroll down to where the GT3, GT4 cars are, there should be several GT3 categories now with various groupings of cars for their respective GT Event. Let me know if this helps.

You don't need to have all 3 files, but they all provide different content. The AI files is simply the various drivers, renamed and skill adjusted etc. for each racing series. One file contains the Supra, Viper, and Jaguar GT3 cars, and the largest of the 3 contains the vast majority of the series/cars. You want to be grabbing them from Thunderflash_Mods_V3.7_for_AMS2_1.5. If you see them in Content Manager with the Blue Box and check mark, then the mod is enabled and you don't need to do anything else. If you want to disable the mod, you uncheck the blue box, and the click Apply.

@StrykerCDNRacing I tried to download but it says I need to upgrade to premium media fire to download multiple files even though I'm clicking on just one of the files. this is where I always give up

If you go into the options, set wheel to Logitech G920, and fit where it says pedals, set it to separate. Make sure to do the in game calibration after, and then verify your pedal bindings.

@StrykerCDNRacing thanks, I've had 2 sets of g920 pedals just stop working on me. I'm on my 3rd set from Logitech, they've replaced it all 3 times and never asked for the old steering wheel/pedals back. so I have 2 g920 wheels with no pedals. This info is handy for my situation..

That's unfortunate to say the least. I didn't get a whole lot of use out of my 920 pedals before picking up the TM set. I did remove the rubber block from the 920's brake which felt better while I used them.

Off the top of my head, I run with all the settings on medium, with anti aliasing set to high, grass off, both particle options at the bottom to low. In performance, chroma for both lens flare options, heat rays off, post processing on, God rays on. In the VR menu, I have no super sampling set. I do run oculus tray tools lately, with the horizontal and vertical adjusted to 0.80 which pretty much let's me run a full field if I want. I do have a video posted on my channel going over my settings. I haven't deviated from it really, just the Oculus Tray tools stuff. I hope it helps, and thanks for the sub!
