It's rather impressive that Nintendo was able to fit digitized dinosaurs and monkeys into a small package. The Game Boy was well ahead of its time. As for the gameplay, it's a step above Mortal Kombat and MK3, but not as good as MKII

Vertigo is absent from the Game Boy port. I feel bad for her 😞

And I thought I was bad at playing this 😆

I had no idea what to expect from a game called "John Adventure" but... this wasn't it.

I haven't seen this game in action before, and holy crap. Wish I had THIS when I was a kid. A mashup of breakout/arkanoid and a shooter? And with Castlevania/gothic vibes too? How cool is that!

This is probably the only game on the SuperVision that’s an “official” port of a pre-existing game. (The NES version of Pyramid was also programmed by Sachen/Thin Chen Enterprise, but published by American Video Entertainment.) Looking at some of the other games for that ill-fated system, I wonder why they even bothered? This was probably the only semi-enjoyable game on the system.
