The Tulare County Film Commission was established to encourage filming in Tulare County and provides support and assistance to the film industry. The Tulare County Film Commissioner responds to location requests and assists production staff with everything from finding locations and securing permits to providing a list of resources they might need while working here.

In 2014, County of Tulare applied and was awarded funds to construct a new public park in Plainview. County of Tulare was the lead on the project with partners such as Self-Help Enterprises who helped with the application process. The maintenance of the park will be done by the Plainview Mutual Water Company.

Earlimart had it's grand opening at the new McDonald's located just off Hwy 99 on April 30, 2016. The McDonald’s is opening in the 7.5-acre White River Plaza at 975 Earlimart Street, at the intersection of Avenue 56 and Highway 99.

Grumpy Locz unfortunately, the people who had the money were using it for themselves. Chavez. He is going to be going to court. I've been told that in March 2018 , information in regards to the park will be released.
