Просмотров 37214 часов назад

We do not knot the fate of the stores yet, but it’s my belief that if the company does stay afloat and sells, there will still be store closures and large changes coming. Joann as we know it, will not be here much longer. We can only hope that they find a seller and the new management will do a much ...

Baker Bralette With Reversible Hack (A Petite Stitchery Pattern) Step by step sewing tutorial
I’ve done this for decorative stitches that don’t have a back stitch option. Never thought to use it this way lol
Put a piece of tissue paper underneath. Sew. Tear away the tissue paper. Any paper under stitches dissolve when washed.
Omg I love you thank you
thanks for this video!
I'm glad you liked it!💕
Can you double layer the material so you don't see the "wrong" side?
Yeah you could! I typically don’t have issues with the wrong side showing when they are on though!
Just wondering what machines do you recommend I'm looking at sewing denim and duck canvas for a first machine I'm currently looking at the janome hd1000
Janomes are great machines! You definitely want a heavy duty for those materials! I think you would be happy with that machine!:)
Thank you for this! So many shops added to my list. :) Some of my favorite online shops include: blackbird fabrics (Canada), Stylemaker fabrics, and hawthorne supply company. I've ordered from all three shops, and had great experiences with them!
Ohh I’ve never heard of style maker, but have heard great things about the other two!
Thanks for the names of different places. My go to for custom printing is MLA, they have a lot of different bases and they also have tons of different designs that is not custom. They have a bow option etc. 4 ever fabric is one I get a lot of my solids.
I have heard great things about MLA but have never tried them!
Bless you! We lost our JoAnn Fabrics ages ago. This is a great help. Thank you.
I know it’s so sad when a store closes!!😭hope you find some shops you love!
So cute! Job well done ✅
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for this information!!
I’m so glad you found it useful! 🙌🏼
Super cute, love the fabric
Thank you so much!😊
❤
Thanks for the love💕
Were u buy it from
I bought my projector second hand on eBay!
@Sewbexx thx queen 🌹
❤
💕💕
Oh that is scary clever!
Thanks! It’s so simple too🙌🏼
Jerseystoff mit ganz kleinem Zickzack Stich vernähen und dabei den Stoff ziehen, dann gibt es diesen schönen Volant.
Yes, exactly!!!😍😍
I have a magcubic mounted above my cut board used pattern projector and got calibrated but frustrated with only 41”/50” really want wider area I have a large mat and my maxi dress slip dress patterns are large per than projected area not sure how best to cut a large pattern out?
That’s probably the biggest down fall of a projector. But what I do is I start at the top of my fabric/ pattern piece and cut out as much as I can, I then using markings from the pattern( grain line, writing, notches, etc) and mark them on my fabric, then I carefully shift the pattern directly up on my screen as high as I need, then carefully shift my fabric and line up my markings, then continue cutting. If needed I’ll do it again!
Great idea! What fabric type did you use?
Thank you! It’s just the cheap flannel from Joann’s! But I have found to to work great!
Do you still have to buy the patterns?
Yes! There are free patterns out there, but most patterns need to be purchased and often include printable files as well!
I am so interested to see how this turned out, but I can't find the next part
It’s still a work In Progress🤣
I love these recaps. Always looking for new ideas 😍 must try a Tara tank
I'm so glad you're getting inspiration from them! That Tara Tank is a super fun and easy one.
This was helpful- thank you!
I'm so glad it helps! 🙌🏼
Excellent tutorial! My Epson came yesterday! I also purchased a stand for it. Going to hook it up this evening. I don’t know why I’m so nervous 😂
It’s exciting! It’s such a game changer once you get it set up and going!
Good job ❤❤🎉🎉
Thank you😊
So beautiful videos 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
@Sewbexx Do you make and edit your videos yourself?
Thank you that info was enough to get me interested. Very interested. Im going to fet all that is needed and will surely reach out to you on instagram for more tips and advice. Great post.
Yay!!! Projectors are a game changer! Definitely check out the projector for sewing FB group too!
Thank you!! Everyone talks about lettuce hem on a serger... but I don't have one!! Nor am I going to buy one just for this! 🥰
Yess!! I use this method over my serger a lot so I don’t have to change the settings!
Do you have a good long sleeve shirt that’s easy for beginners that would match these pants?
I would go with the dolman top from lowland kids! It’s more of a sweatshirt / oversized fit but great for beginners.
You can do it. Getting started is the hardest.
Thank you!! Yes, I just need to sit down and bust them out!
Great job …. making Grandkids kids pajamas. My first try was so bad I had to rip it out😂However, after go over your video it was a piece of cake😊Thank you for the help!
That's awesome! I'm glad it came out so well! My first couple weren’t great either!
im learning so many new ways of wrapping things 😂😂
There are so many neat ways out there!
So cute. And I bet you could even add some embellishments that go with the gift theme or the event!
Yes, it would be a fun way to personalize it!😍😍
This is cool!! You have no idea how much time you just saved me!!!! ❤❤❤ Thank you!!!
That makes me so happy to hear!❤️❤️
the WI is "Widescreen Interactive" the PowerLite counterpart (475W) is only widescreen without interactivity just fyi. the projector is a native 1280x800 which is a WXGA resolution also, be careful with having your laptop or anything for that matter next to the exhaust vent of the projector as it can get really hot
Ohhhh that makes sense too😂 thanks for that information 😃
@ I only know this because i have the exact same projector but I use it for movies
Do you have to recalibrate it each time?
Not always! Most pattern files will have a calibration grid on them so I just check it before I cut to make sure but unless my projector got bumped or something it’s usually good to go!
You can fold a square shaped cloth to make triangles also.
I have seen that done as well!
Thank you never knew what it was used for.
Glad you know now! 😊
That was a little bit of a "trust the process" kind of a video, but I loooove the result! Such a cute idea! 🫶
Thank you! But , yes!! This was the first time doing it and was hoping it turned out!
Brilliant 😊
Thanks 😊
great tip thank you!
I’m so glad it helps! 🙌🏼
oh my god ive had this part for years but never knew ty
It took me years to figure out what it was too!!
Do is there a setting for 4 holes?
No, you just have to rotate the button and repeat on the other 2 holes!
You say stretch the elastic before you go to use it?
Yes! You always want to stretch your elastic to the max a few times before cutting!
@@Sewbexx Thanks for replying. I've not heard that before. I will in future. What does it do? Does the elastic stretch on the body and become looser if it's not stretched before stitching?
Wouldn't the stitching compromise the stretch of the elastic?
You usually put stitching through the elastic anyway
As long as you use a stretch stitch, it will be fine!
Yes, exactly!😊
Great tip
this is sooo useful
It really is!!!😊
This is so cool!!
Thank you!!
Just scrolling through your shorts for inspiration and I saw this and immediately thought “oh cute! That looks like the Oaklynn from M4M.” Is it bad I was right lol
Hahaha no I love that!!!
Hahahaha for real. “Sorry, I only make clothes, not fix them”
Yes!!! Exactly 🤣
To make gathering easier pull a length of bobbin thread up and zig zag over it. Makes gathering way easier
I have to try that!!
