Dealing with this right now while reconditioning a 70 year old Steinway console. Gonna try this, thanks!
I had the great fortune to experience Cathy's superb playing at a local church in Morro Bay recently. Just divine
Debra was the first piano teacher I ever had. She was incredible and extremely well knowledgeable. I kept playing for many years after thanks to her.
Mr. Moe was my instructor back in 1997 🥹 for 10 years ! I would love to take some classes with him again. He was the best instructor. He was able to write music by just listening to the song.
I’m thinking that this method of helping give some torque to tuning pins was used well before you “developed” this method. And, if there is a large crack in the pin block, there is no way that CA glue will fix it. Plus, ok…I’m no expert here…how can you really see the condition of the pin block without removing the plate? Pretty misleading that this will “restore” a pin block.
Love you Jim Walker, been in Vegas 30 years, but this took me back to a small club in Santa Monica, where my ears were open to the very Best music in the world. God continue to bless you and yours.
Beautiful Voice on that Petrof.
I have an old Ludwig WeatherMaster practice pad. I've had it since 1965. It has a skin drum head feel. It's good to work out on.
I saw this amazing performance 2017 spring at USC. Thanks for this mush amazing performance Mr. Walker.
Yo tengo el de 6"
For me, the Hite Premiere sounds more lively here
Gussy
The old Remos are the bain of my existence! They sound like a carboard box and for some reason almost every beginning percussion kit comes with one of them. Offfworld products are the best and customer service is 2nd to none. I've got the Slim Pad with the laminate. Like that one also. I currently own around 14 pads. Thanks for posting!
Thank you.
who else is watching this for band class
Fantastic performance... And that Petrof... What an incredible sound! Superb instrument...
U didnt add worldmacs practice pad
Try ours also..
Send me one! I’ll do a review for my store!
Okay I got my dampers out order when I took them out now I can't get them to work right can you help me with the problem
Nice review. I'm a newbie drummer and watching videos to teach myself the rudiments. Got the SLINT drum pad on Amazon, though, and so far I'm loving it.
2:34 sounds like mr leave walking
I’m trying to find a good new pad, any suggestions?
Offworld is good and so in the Drumslinger
offworld invader v3!
Invader or VF slimpad
One of the better reviews on RUclips. But the lamps you demo'ed look like they concentrate their light on about 80% of the page and then there's a dip in intensity at the ends of the 2 pages. I wish the camera had been aimed entirely at the page itself (rather than include you in the screen, & absolutely no knock against you, it's just that all we need is the evaluator's off screen voice). I just returned a Mighty Bright to Musician's Friend as the intensity was awful right out of the box. Now I'm scared to buy any of their products despite the mostly good reviews. But nice review, thanks. - DJ, NY
@Offworld Percussion your pads are awesome! I got the invader v3, and it makes a real feel’s rebound feel like a pillow. Offworld is amazing, but you should make a pad that has the dark matter on the top, and a softer, quiet gum rubber on the bottom. I had to buy a real feel for practicing at later hours. Thank you for your amazing product!
Our SCOJO and Outlander series have a DarkMatter™ top and a neoprene bottom for this reason!
@@OffWorldPercussionInc please make a pad that has Darkmatter on top and silicone rubber at the bottom for, you know, quieter surface and a perfect chop builder
Some of dampers don't even cut off the tone. Do you have a fix for that?
I just bought the manhasset music stand with the 1060 lamp. Its a long stand and was over £100 so it looks like it fits about 5 of these on it. Anyway they claimed that one of the lamps would illuminate the whole stand but it doesnt. Maybe they were saying it illuminates two pages (standard sized music stand) and i misread. Anyway it appears i will need two (and place them just L and R of centre) or have 3. However this is unneccesary plugs imo so im womdering is there a longer lamp that will illuminate the whole of the stand? I dont care how much it is as one lamp is better than two or 3. I do like the way the manhasset lamp just clicks on tho. All the cheap led lamps are a pain in this regard
They're both very similiar in sound. I don't like either one. Very dull! The piece he was playing for both didn't sound right for a saxophone instrument. It needs a strong melody.
the main reason is the sound and feel and another perfect reason is anything you play on other stringed instruments like the guitar, the uke gives a different version
What happens to all songs one paid for???
Thanks for the comparison! I just bought the Mighty Bright Hammerhead, which is perfect for my uses. The music I play nearly always is a single page, so the Hammerhead's coverage is fine. It's super compact and portable and only cost 20USD.
YESSSS FLUTE QUEEN
Nice
Wow what an underrated model! I haven’t even heard of it but it’s incredibly beautiful
Im a percussionist and I'm obsessed with practice pads but I gotta say my favorite by far is my xymox pad
I refuse to use Apple crap ever
3:19 Thanks for review! Glad you like it!
OffWorld Percussion, Inc any comment on movement drum Co's very similar pad? Haha I know you guys were first by far
@@goseeaboutagirl we have been told they do not feel the same, and only look similar from a distance. They just try to copy the look, but are in no way comparable up close.
OffWorld Percussion, Inc good to hear. Haha I was worried they ripped you guys off! Love your pads
I wonder if this electronic digital machine will still be around in 120 years time like my present 7ft Bluthner?
HI Gustavo. Nice review. What is the model of that stick?
Ralph Hardiman ? Vic Firth
Mike Jackson
Vic firth but I personally like the innovative Bret Kuhn sticks mostly since I'm using those sticks
Nova or the debut?
Wow thank you that's really helpful. I have this exact sizzle problem.
Good video Ed. You’re the man!
How to ruine a piano.
Claude Després Not true. I’ve done this on dozens of pianos and up to 15 years later they still tune perfectly! The alternative is to spend thousands of dollars to replace the block/restring or to use oversized pins or shims. $5.00 of CA glue to fill the small crack around the pins, or a big rebuild? No brainer.
She's my Orchestra teacher now😏
WOHOO GO MS.BOYLE❤️
awesome
Why do you even bother doing videos such as this if you are not going to follow through with the restoration project? Did you company go out of business?
Not sure why you didnt use all the mics that you have set up to get a better mix. Hard for me to understand if I like them or not.
Why do you hunch when you play?
Probably because he’s playing traditional grip and the snare stand doesn’t bring his pad up to proper height.
They don't even sell them anymore 😔😔😔😔
I had a damper felt fall off on one of the lower keys. I thought it might be screwed on since there's a small screw on the back of the felt housing, but there's no hole in the back of the felt. Are they glued on??
