    It's not confusing at all. Men need the sit up or down depending on what they'll go for next (Number 1 or 2). Women ALWAYS need the sit down. An example is a wife that wants to be "Considerate" of her husband's needs and leaves the toilet seat up, but then the husband comes and needs to take a sht, so he now has to put the seat down, so her being "considerate" actually became an inconvenience for him. So women shouldn't worry about it at all because they can't know anyway what he'll go for next, while men should always make sure the sit is down after usage.

    Good luck with your "Men Only" Fellowship/Accountability Group. Tried that and what I experienced repeatedly was that Men (do not) share for the most part AND are UNWILLING to form bonds with other men for whatever reasons. The MOST COMMON reasons were.... • They are married with Family and believed they didn't have TIME for their peers. • Too busy trying to make their (unsaved) girlfriend their wife. Plus, church doesn't give a damn about OLDER Single Men and women. In fact, Older Singles have NO place in church and are NOT welcomed there.

As a Christian woman who got saved in her 30's but grew up with an alcoholic, verbally, physically and mentally abusive dad, I so appreciate hearing this great Dad talk about the vital importance of speaking positive, loving words into daughters' lives and hearts. I am a daughter and granddaughter here. I never once heard my dad or my grandfather tell me that I was beautiful. I am in my forties and my Dad passed a couple of years ago. My maternal grandfather is still alive. The day I found my Dad my grandfather stepped into the role of dad. My husband was 800 miles away and we were separated for two years. Long story there. I graduated from college recently my grandfather was right there celebrating. My son has also stepped up. I am back together with my husband. I can tell you as a daughter and granddaughter that the world is scary without the man who loved us the most. My dad spent his life preparing me for the day he wouldn’t be here. I was his only child. I had to know how to run a small business. I had to know what were good deals. The last few years dad was alive I ran his business. I still had him to ask questions. After he passed I am not sure if people thought I lost my brain or if he had made all the decisions. I looked at someone when I was negotiating the price of timber and said “I may be ugly but I am not stupid” it was the first thing that popped into my head. My grandfather about fell in the floor laughing. At me over my statement because I am neither. I have since reconciled with my husband. I was dad’s spoiled kid and almost always got my way. I have completely restructured the business which I was in the process before dad passed. My son also has a business, but he in learning the ins and outs of my two businesses. The one I had before dad passed and dad’s business which it’s mine. I may own and live in dad’s house but I still call it dad’s along with the business.

I’ve brought it up several times and my oldest daughter said it should be enough that they love me and they shouldn’t have to call me. It has broken my heart. I always tell them both that I’m always here for them and if they ever need me just give me a call. I never get a call. It leaves me feeling that I don’t matter to them. Should I just give up? Let it go? Or continue to feel like I’m begging them?

    5:26 - Number 7 boils down to "Serve others". Walter Williams said it best when he observed that your value in this world is determined by the value you provide to others. And it's up to *_them_* to determine that value, not up to you. You can't provide what people want and need if you don't know what it is, and you can't know unless you listen to them. So, I would add "Talk less and listen more." In fact, several of the ten things enumerated here are different aspects of the same underlying problem: ego. Your ego is a fiction; it's your opinion of other people's opinion of you. It's the "image" of you that you want others to see, or that you think they see. And very often, it is a great deceiver. It's very easy to become enslaved to that fiction, to feed it, to let it control your choices, your behavior. Your ego is a useful construct in your interactions with others, but only to the extent to which it's a true reflection of who you really are. Then it's not a fiction at all. And if your ego is framed around such principles as, "I seek the truth", "I do not interfere with others against their will", "I exist but to serve the highest and best in me and in others", you immediately differentiate yourself from the self-absorbed, arrogant behaviors this video addresses.

    Modern women won’t let you lead. There is not a moment went by I ignored. All the good men I know are busy trying to keep the cast and crew from drilling holes in the bottom of the boat. It’s not good to be alone. God knows things about the devils ways that we don’t. Know it haven’t ever lied about it and still find myself alone with the heavy burden of trying to keep all the responsibilities together. Society and culture get in the way. Risk is not my problem it’s time. Part of the way to destroy the family is destroying a work life balance and corporate American and consumerism loves to keep you slaving 50 and 60 hours. Good men are hard to find that share values in an independent and Godless society. So many ignore reality. Very good talk sir.

    To me it’s pretty simple. It’s easy to find male community, but let’s be real, it’s on everyone’s heart to find a partner. In an increasing polarized culture, there is a mismatch on gendered lines. The right side has an overabundance of men, and the left side has an overabundance of women. Even in the Christian community, all of the more reformed/cessationist/“hardcore” churches are more male leaning, and the more liberal/charismatic churches are more women leaning. We’re constantly told “don’t compromise on your values for someone else!” And then the number of suitable partners in your group seems to be shrinking by the minute. In my opinion, if you’re going to take that stance, then be willing to accept the increasing possibility of dying single.

    • @HTnutty

      @@HTnutty wait really? I only really spoke about finding partners. What reason did I give? Regardless, are you really telling me that there isn’t a single men’s ministry in your area? If you live in the west, there are churches everywhere. They are designed to embrace you with open arms

    • @HTnutty
      @HTnutty 4 месяца назад

      @@breesty4229 you spoke about the right side being more hardcore and more male leaning and the left side being more women leaning. Neither of those is Biblical leaning. And I never said there isn't a single men's ministry in my area. I will say that there are tons of men's "bible studies" and lots of "pancake breakfasts", that's not at all the same thing as a strong Biblical male community to truly do life with. I've been to Christian men's retreats with 300+ men there, and few willing to really talk, open, share, support, etc... beyond the surface level and expected conversations. It's super easy to wear the mask of a good Christian man.

    • @breesty4229
      @breesty4229 4 месяца назад

      @@HTnutty have you considered the possibility that your preferences are too rigid? As for your first point, you say neither is biblical leaning, and you made that determination on your own, when both sides I mentioned also claim to be biblical leaning. If you’ve been to men’s retreats with hundreds of people and not one guy there meets your qualifications for a good friend, I think you need some inward reflection honestly. Also, it’s good you’re going out to these events because that seems to solve the Crux of the video, loneliness.
