Yup, try to fit your laptop and documents in a laptop sleeve rather than a whole different bag. Even if it becomes bulky, I will still recommend a laptop sleeve as in retrospect, it’ll just be one bag of 7 kg and a laptop sleeve. Will save you from any trouble. @ and I’ve one more doubt at the layover in Kuala Lumpur my layover time is 12+ hours will I get my whole luggage back, I mean the checked in baggage. And and in Kuala Lumpur again the staff will weigh the luggage? And is the baggage checking to strict?

@anshulinadelaide Thanks for the reply...I have bought NIB OSHC starting from 1st February next year..I will be arriving in Australia's soil 1 week after my health insurance starts....I have already logged in to my NIB app and it was quite smooth...It is showing that I can start claiming once my period of insurance starts.. Now, I would like to know from you if I need to call them after I reach Australia? And since I can login to my NIB account, does it mean that my account is already activated or there is further activation process needed? Kindly tell also if it is compulsory to get the insurance physical card upon arrival or only using the mobile app is sufficient? And if physical card is needed mandatorily, will I have to pay for the physical card? Kindly do reply to my three questions in brief. Thanks in advance...

@ hey, that sounds great! From what it looks like, you’re all set up and ready to go so you don’t need to call them again. And no, you don’t need the physical card. You’ll have a digital card on your app that you can use at different clinics. You also have the potential to add it in your apple wallet/google wallet and use it conveniently. Just make sure that the expiry of it is till the end of your visa. I’ll give you an example. Let’s say your visa is expiring on the 15th of March of some year and you apply for your 485 visa in January/February, you can continue your health insurance with the same company and the amount will be carried over. Yup, as long as you don’t put it in your ‘check in’ luggage (the bigger one you’ll submit at the start and get at the end), you’re allowed to bring a powerbank in your cabin baggage. Generally, it shouldn’t exceed 27,000 mAh Let me know if you have any more questions :)

Hey, unfortunately, I only had 20 kg allowance so yours is really good! Yup, I had read similar reviews. I originally had a meeting as soon as I landed so I was in a time crunch. What I did is that I told them that I had a meeting and that I would want my baggage ASAP so it would be great if they could put a priority tag on my baggage. They did that and my luggage was one of the first ones to come out. Hope this helps!

Not too sure about the exact dimensions but it was a normal big sized suitcase. I believe length + width + height would be close to 140 cm…… Let me know what you’re struggling with, happy to help out

@anshulinadelaide the bag dimensions in vietjet website say max dimensions should be 119*119*81 which is alot, like twice what other airlines offer, so I was thinking I should buy luggage bags whose dimensions are universal, meaning I can take them on most flights

@ I would honestly suggest you to not worry about the dimensions that much. Just get something durable and at a good rate. You can also get those sets of 2 that give you the cabin and check in baggage of the same look and color. Just worry about the max weight, don’t worry too much about the dimensions of it. Only worry about the dimensions of the cabin baggage. Let me know if you have any other questions

Hey, thank you for the positive review; appreciate it! No, I didn’t have to. I had a cc with HDFC Bank which gave me a ‘priority pass’ card that lets you into different lounges. I would suggest you to get into a call with the airport people and ask about the different promotions they have with banks and their debit cards and credit cards. There are some schemes where you only have to pay 1rs. and you get entry into the lounge.

Bro, it really depends on your luck. One thing is for sure that they’ll always ask you to put it on the weighing scale but it then depends on the representative and if he/she lets you go if you’re overweight. Otherwise, they might ask you to shift some luggage to your check in bag. One thing that you can do is that get a suitcase but of the size of your cabin bag - that can be 7kg and on top of that, you can take your laptop and a couple of other things in a tote bag or some easy travel bag. That way, you can take more and still stay within the rules.

There are 3 scape properties in Adelaide - Scape @ University of Adelaide, Scape Adelaide Central (UniSA), and Scape Waymouth Neither of them provide food or catering as of October 2024 but keep an eye on their website and social media for any development. Yup, you can do that. Just remember to disclose your ABN income when you’re filing your taxes as that is your responsibility whereas your TFN income will be automatically fed into the system. Best to hire an accountant whose fees can also be claimed in the next financial year.
