This was an amazing movie, but that connection thing freaked me out in 2009. It still does. It's in my nightmares sometimes.

The key question for everyone is what does this symbolize and reflect upon in Avatar's story ? ,, its a lot deeper then one thinks and at its heart is a quite a powerful story example tool. For the fantasy Na'vi people its one more "sense" then we have, but it visually reflects upon "the "bond" that let us intrinsically "see" each other as well .Long hair is also a deep rooted part of native cultural identity,,,, and what was the first thing that was "striped" from native children when they taken from there parents where sent to Boarding schools they cut off there braid that was a part of essence of who they are .
