A brief demonstration of the Amp Supply LK800C monster. This amp is in excellent asthetic and working condition. The late Bill Edwards of Omega was the last technician to service and modify this unit. We all know who he was! The best!!! This unit has extremely low hours since it was serviced by Mr. Edwards.

A 1967 440 Chrysler I rebuilt for my friend Chris. This low mileage engine was honed, washed, inspected, standard crankshaft polished, new moly rings, rod and main bearings, all clearances checked and found fine. Melling standard volume/pressure oil pump, double roller timing set, 440 Source Stealth aluminum heads and a Edelbrock Performer intake. This is the first time it was idled after the 2...

How do I bid on this. There are a few on eBay don’t know witch is this one ?
cool kit
It seems to be idling a little high. 😂
Camshaft break in. 😂 2000 RPM for 20 minutes.
I'm about to replace my 67 belvedere master and I'm pretty sure it has that retainer grommet, what was your solution to this? I ordered a new grommet in case mine was in bad shape.
WhaWhaWhaWhaWha
I do not like Hughes myself but in all fairness look at the beat up box the cam was in and look at some of the other lobes that show a bit of rubbing. The lifter faces kept in a box with a cardboard bottom anyplace east of the Mississippi will have issues in short order. No lid on the lifter box as well. And lastly you are not the buyer and you really cant account for what the parts went through prior to you getting them. Again the condition of the cam box looks pretty distressed. Its no different then if I bought a jacked up swap meet cam and the asked the mfg. to replace it. Not sure what you were looking for but it seems like a huge stretch you dogging hughes in this instance. Again Im not a fan on them but you got to look at the situation as a whole. You say things were shipped this way but you really do not know.
How did you Fix the k Tran.
I replaced it with a NOS part. They can be repaired but it is very time consuming. You would need to disconnect the mica capacitor in the bottom and add a disc capacitor under the unit.
Looks great !!! Omg this video is 12 years old !?!? Wow
What's a local sale price? I don't like eBay lol.
That is a beautiful Philco and it sounds great! Now, seven years later is it still playing well?
Hello Dennis! I gave this radio to a close friend about two months ago after replacing all of the remaining wax caps. It still played perfectly but as a safety precaution I replaced them.
I did the same thing to my MT125 but all I changed was the barrel and piston, at first. I added a CR125 expansion chamber and got a beast to ride instead of a slug. Running on premix was the only option as the CR barrel didn't have an oil injection port. I took out the oil pump but left the oil tank in as an emergency reserve if I ran low on gas and had to buy some from a farmer in the boondocks. I raced my bike occasionally and could compete with RM125's if there weren't too many jumps. I did lay down the shocks and got 7" on the rear but it wasn't perfect. But, there wasn't a stock trail bike on the market that could keep up with me. Great times.
Hi Lee, I'm getting ready for a lower end rebuild and have my CR top end ready to go. Did you use a Mukuni VM34? What Fernco fitting did you use? Thanks, Mike
It's what Honda should have done. The lack of power really messed up the MT series. I did the same conversion to my MT125 and I was able to compete with RM 125's, once I had put a CR125 expansion chamber on it. Nice job.
Another great video!
Best music hall i know!
Sounds great. Can't believe it's coming from a cassette.
Thank you! It's all in the equipment used and the quality of the tape.
Same year top end?
Beautiful radio!
The best air compressor..for your hard earned money..my dad had a 120 gal from the late 1950s. In his 5 bay service station..it ran for ever..he changed the oil every 3 mounth s..it lasted till he retired. In 1999..wish we never let it go to the wrecking ball..a true relic..update..I bought a new Saylor-beall feb 2022..built to out last me..
My brother must have given his son Grandma's old hippo radio it must have been in his building for years and little Johnny said to me I got an old radio in the building that Dad gave me a while back and said do you think you'll want it and I looked at it and it was Grandma's old radio that she had on her dresser that she used to turn on halfway volume up and wake me up about 5 in the morning when she got up to listen to whatever news it have to be on there but I was so proud to get that thing cuz a lot of good memories of that old radio and it needs a really good cleaning up I'm kind of kicking it around with I should go ahead and not exactly restore the back of it or the front of it I guess I should probably just go ahead and just clean it up it just got dirt and dust on it besides it was clean when I remember grandma having it but anyway sorry to bend your ear I just love the looks of your radio so you take care and stay well!
I know this is an older video, where did you get the alternator kit? I have been trying to find 1!
Do you have a wiring diagram for your installation
Just two wires. Both connect to the bulb. This is AC voltage. You need to use a 4414 bulb or the light will be very dim.
How does that H60 pull that mini bike around? Must be quick.
Were you able to use the mt throttle cable?
Did you use the mt throttle cable?
Yes I was.
Nice build😎, but it Needs the cr pipe to get the most out of the cylinder conversion, stock MT pipe or even an aftermarket pipe for MT for ex bassani, hooker,dg etc isnt tuned around the CRs port scheme altho I'm sure would be better than stock pipe, still likely losing some potential hp🍻
Did you ever sell it?
Rub it in. When they aren't even available anymore. Discontinued Tecumseh part.
How did you get that thing to go onto that older type engine recoil? Because those thing were generally installed on 8hp engine's prior to solid state ignitions. The recoils those fit on have pre drilled holes and a cap in the center. They generally were not made for those old engines with those style recoils. Their solid in the center and bolted right in the center from behind. What did you do drill a hole thru the center and alter it?
Most Toro snowblower HS50's have the correct recoil for the add on alternator and all of the 90's engines with newer style recoils can also accept the alternator. Two kits were offered with different driveshaft cup sizes for the flywheel nut. I simply bolted this unit on using all factory parts.
@@hondaelsinore1974 So you took a recoil that would accept the alternator? Because it looks like a stock white recoil that went with those engines. I've had a few of those 70's H Tecumsehs on those older Ariens, the recoils that came with those engines have solid centers the other side has a phillips head in the center where the started dog bolts on and one of those alternators would not be able to go thru their on the recoils that went with those engines. Because I was thinking about doing it when my machines still had those engines but figured I couldn't since the recoils on those engines wont accept the alternator. 90's Tecumsehs have solid state ignition with a modern stator that would bolt on directly behind the flywheel. I'm suprised they still made those alternators for 90's engines, why would you need to go that route with the modern stator behind the flywheel? Unless they were making them in the 90's for the older points engines to give machines a way for the engine to power accesories like lights for those older engines at that time. I guess they had stopped making the magneto assemblies that had alternators biult on for point engines and made those kits in place for people that still had the older points engines.
@@hondaelsinore1974 Its a newer recoil that can accept the alternator. I can tell by the mitten slot on it. The older ones just used a regular small handle and didn't have the slot for those newer bigger handles. The original recoil that went with those engines cant take the alternator. Thats pretty crafty, I don't see many 10000 series with headlights. How well does the light work as far as brightness? Pretty dim right? The headlight on my snapper was dim. I put an LED bulb in, its much better now. It does flicker because I didn't add a rectifier but the human eye can't tell, its only caught on camera. You should order the LED bulbs that take the place of those old ones the difference is huge. Night and day. Otherwise very nice. I wish my older Ariens had headlights, but the new Predators I have on them don't have alternators. I just use a head mount flashlight powered by 18650 laptop batteries, their powerful, last a long time and are rechargable and I have a box of them. Their 3x brighter than the LED light on my snapper, plus the light goes where I go if I walk away from the machine. I did just recently get two machines with Tecumseh's that have the gas tank mounted headlight, one is on a simplicity an HM80 it has the orange lens. The other is on an HMSK100 that was on a Noma that I pulled and am getting ready to put on my Snapper 8246 for this winter, the 8 needs a valve job I think, its lacking power. 10 years commercial abuse. The 10 should do nicely. I'll probably remove the light off the hmsk100 since the snappers already got a light.
hi! thanks for the vid! minus the compression released, did you need to machine anything on the cylinder? can anyone do this with a CR top end? if so, I'm off to ebay! thanks!!!
I have the same question. My MT250 has a scored cylinder, I can either bore it or replace it.
It's a bolt on mod. You can use the MT head and carb too. Just put in a bigger main jet. You'll have to run it on premix as the CR barrel does not have an oil injection port.
How much for the motor need, one for my 1970 dodge d100 pick up.
Who makes that,how much$
Tecumseh made them and they are very hard to come by now. Once in awhile one comes up for sale for about $300. Its not worth buying, most of those engines those are used on are old and tired and the light it powered wasn't very bright anyway. For the cost of one of those things you can get a bigger, newer engine with modern light hook ups that are more efficient and brighter.
They ROCKED!!!!
Well done, sounds great!
Nice bike!. I have a 1974 XL 350 that I restored.
Agree. The CR250M May be a cool vintage dirtbike to scoot around on, but having a two stroke "dual sport" that is street legal takes the pie. Nothing like riding in the city while smoking out all the hippies and tree huggers.
