Thank you for this upload.
You are totally welcome! I really hope this helps you some how ... do you have a favourite shania song!
@@SimplyGuitarLessons just the popular songs of hers are the only ones I know. I'm in a cover band and I know this song will get the women up and dancing. So because of this video I'll be able to bring it to the table with the band for Saturdays practice session. 👍 Thanks again.
This was great! Love it! Thank you for posting this.
That was a long add
21:32 I’m definitely learning guitar properly to pick out this stray note you threw in just to make sure we’re concentrating 😂
🤣🤣 Hey, you've made my day! I must have been day dreaming 😉Really hope you are enjoying the videos so far.
@@SimplyGuitarLessons what settings do I use to get that tone? (Amp,cab, lead/clean/rythm etc) I have a prime mooer p1 so hopefully can set it up to sound like this. Thank you
@@YoYoZamolo Hey buddy, i'm super sorry for this being a slow reply. I think I was using a Fender Twin amp model with just a tube screamer as a distortion. I had the pickup selecter on the bridge and all tones up to 10. I think, play the strings close to the bridge to get a really sharp tone. Again sorry for the slow reply let me know if you need more help, Greg
@@SimplyGuitarLessons thanks Greg. Appreciate your help 👍
Does the string touch the fretboard when pressed to the right pressure? Or does it touch the fret only.
@@cesarsalazar2584 Hi buddy, thanks for the great comment! The string just needs to touch the fret - hope this helps!
Brilliant work. Awesome. Thanks!
any chances be good on acoustic?
superb!!
@@andywillerton9978 Glad you enjoyed it Andy, thanks for being here
Turns out to be an easy song
This guy looks like Danny Wilson that played for Rangers and Liverpool
We tune down to get the lower pitch in your bass. SO MANY BANDS PLAY IN EB. Sabbath, Alice N Chains, A perfect Circle, Yes, Early Genesis, Smashung Pumpkins (meloncholly) some Nirvana, Alot of Soundgarden, Not to mention c# standard or drop B tunings. Also, a HUGE reason for this is to play in a comfortale key for the singer. Lowering the register will help alot of singers who arent good in a higher key. NEVER tell a musician to not do something because u just dont like tuning your guitar. U should absolutely experiment. U will be surprised at the inspiration it gives u evn if u think not. Music is all about creativity not copying. Just my 2 cents.
I have to get my hair done at
The song doesn't sound as good when you tune it up a half step.
Thank you brother ❤
You rock dude. I was about to give up guitar because i couldn't handle the pain lol
Great comment! It comes in 'peaks and troughs ....' some days are brilliant, some are a struggle. Keep thinking of the guitar progress as something we track over months and years, rather than hours and days! Thanks for the comment, Greg
Good solution on paper, absolutely horrendous for development of the ear & intuition of being a musician. Possibly 47% of all rock/metal guitar music of various subgenres & time periods is in Eb. Many of the most famous guitarists who will ever be were in Eb, & there's good reason for that. Anyone considering this horrid method need to do their homework on A440 vs A442 & get your mind blown. Or get a 2nd guitar & do your own comparisons.
The passion! Great response, what do you think about it as a practice tool to quickly learn a song if you have a guitar that's only set up for Standard? Thanks for the comment
@@SimplyGuitarLessons thanks! Can't really argue that. You can learn the song & move on. To take my original posts sentiment, I guess that could even help with transposing as you'd get used to hearing the same thing in 2 different keys (if you went back & forth a little). I was thinking more long term I guess originally.
Yeah, you can slow playback speed, but of course it changes the pitch
Actually no, the pitch is the same in this instance. Cool right?! 😁
Would love some more maroon 5 lessons! Some fun funky stuff.
Best lesson I have found, all you need to know. Thank you, please do some more 🎵🎶

✨✨🎸❤️😎 SO MUCH YESSSS TO THIS VIDEO THANKYOU ❤️
Interesting
You never posted those Johnny cash videos you promised :(
Freaking, awesome, you are the first guy on video that has made this so simple and easy. It's starting to come together. I've watched hours and hours and days. And weeks of pentatonic videos engaged system. But you are the first person to make sense of this for me.Thank you so much greatly appreciated.❤
Super cool comment! So glad the video could help you! I put all positions into a playlist ... ruclips.net/p/PLiDIAu5VKEyumDmc7Boxe6WuBkJbK9oiM Hope you enjoy, thank you!
Super cette mélodie
Thanks. There's a lot of guitar here and there in a lot of pop songs.
You're super welcome !
For some reason youtube isn't giving me notifications you are live lately.. I'm just catching up now. Cheers for the lesson Greg 😎🎸🎶🎶
Ah! Not sure why that was. Looking forward to next week! Greg
Notation.. tab.. Animation.. U got all the bases covered! Like the strat fretboard and how u illustrate the open strings! !A+ Presentation! Awesome riffs too! Well done!!🦴🎸😊
Great job.. Thank you 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿👌🏿

Nice lesson Greg, will you be doing Oasis 'She's Electric' this thurs?? 😎🎸🎶🎶
Hey buddy, this week is a guide over 'Mo Better Blues' - look forward to showing you this. I have She's Electric coming out later in the summer. Great to be back and see you again
!! Nice video my friend !! have a nice day and stay safe :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are super welcome and great comment to read, thank you!
Really interesting and fun session ! Thank you for sharing !
Although the vocals will sound a bit off, wont it?
It certainly will sound different if you are used to hearing it in the natural key. However it will harmonically work with the instruments! Thanks for the comment and thanks for having you here
@@SimplyGuitarLessons Otherwise you can always just tune the guitar D#/Eb and then just put capo on first fret (or just play a half step up) whenever you're playing a song that is recorded in standard tuning.
Yeah. I really unnecessarily punished my finger tip the first few weeks learning. Swear my fingers would go through the fret board if i pressed harder. I remember not being able to play a D because i had an indent too deep on my middle finger to press the high G 😂😂😂. Ive learned to chill on the force 😂. Great tip btw. Been using this tip to remind myself the force needed
Such a common thing for most, if not all players !!! I was shown this tip by my teacher at Uni, my mind was also blown! Great to have you here. Thanks for the comment, and have a great weekend
You should press down as hard as possible, and then you're still not pushing hard enough.
🤣 Thank you for the laugh on this Friday evening, glad you enjoyed the video and great to have you here
@@SimplyGuitarLessons I'm not understanding the joke here...I was being 100% dead serious. Go listen to Cream and get the marshmallows out of your fingers my friend
@@CreamBootlegs Haha, thank you for being here and joining in on the fun!
@@SimplyGuitarLessons thanks for being lighthearted about it and not taking offense :)
I can never take offence via the guitar - only ❤😂😁
Nice😊
Glad you enjoyed this! Great to have you here.
Nice! Very clean!
The idea of the lesson is great (as the video itself). The sound of the single coil strat for playing ac dc is awful...
Do Van Halen and Bon Jovi
Great channel man. This stuff is perfect. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this.
Do Metallica ur channel will grow...0 3 5 and smoke one the water kind of riffs get sooo old
Hey Greg, missed last night's Stream, was about to dive in but it seems to have disappeared 🧐
Hey mate, I put it straight on my library on the site. I don't put everything on YT so if ever in doubt just check here .. Hope to see you next week! www.simplyguitar.com/library/livestreams/
@@SimplyGuitarLessons Cheers, thanks for the reply, I'll head over now 😎🎸🎶🎶
Sorry, teaching ACDC on a Strat?! I see that es with humbuckers behind you and that would be much closer. Im out!
I don’t know if you are trying to be funny but what about the people who only have a Strat but want to play AC/DC riffs? It’s about learning music and incorporating into your own style not about fanboy authenticity and by the way if you know what your doing you can get a heavy sound out of a Stratocaster the main reason hard rockers go for humbuckers is because the single coils pick up noise and hum from power lines, listen to the studio version of Voodoo Child slight return (every live version or any cover is lame in my assessment) and then say you can’t get a heavy high gain sound out of a Stratocaster, and Stratocasters excel at clear chord tones even at high gain, all early Led Zeppelin albums were recorded with a Telecaster, if you know your instrument you can get a variety of tones
Hard to listen too with single coils on a strat. My 77 strat has rails, amazing tone.
Спасибо, друг, Вы мне помогли уточнить некоторые моменты, особенно, в песне You Shook Me All Night Long ❤
