is it possible to use the energy that is generated from the plunger coming down? for example with water turbines

This is incredible! How much energy does it take to power it? How do you filter rhe water? I'm just in awe of this...

My only concern is what if someone swims up close to the machine in the middle as it's going up and down? Are there sensors that detect swimmers where abouts and or debris that might get sucked into moving parts? That's really my only concern. Secondly all of the renders looks awesome! I can definitely see these used at major resorts around the world and maybe even design a smaller one customers could install into there own ponds on their land.

Personally I like the old rusty raw steampunk feeling of the original working one. Immediately your eyes are drown to the weird contraption in the middle of the lake asking yourself "what is that big metal thing?" and i feel if you cover that up you may lose the visual apeal but that's just my opinion and opinions change over time. I'm sure whatever ya'll do in the future I'll be a hit among the crowds. 🤙🏼

This won’t work in Vegas. Just moved away from there. Not enough water nor enough enthusiasts. You need to think elsewhere. Orange Beach, Alabama. Shreveport, Louisiana North of Fort Worth, Texas I’ve developed my own village, community, around surf lakes. I’m your huckleberry.

Where Kelly Slater screwed up was choosing California. Had Kelly picked Lower Alabama, where we have an abundance of fresh water, top 5 most pristine beaches in all the US, if not the world, and zero surf - but plenty of surfers and surf tourism available with the current infrastructure. How do you get Kelly Slater or another big name in surfing - like Laird - to make this a reality? Baldwin County, Alabama. Consider Foley or Elberta. Tons and tons of flat inexpensive land. 20min to the beach but not in any danger of flood zones. Create a community around the surf lakes, but don’t be a moron and make them $1mill+ homes. Make them affordable track homes, with a section of baller homes behind their own gate, as well as water front condos and high rise unit. You know. It’s Elberta or Foley, in Alabama. Trust me on this. I lived all over the US. This place would make it work. Texas would be good too, but they don’t get the annual rainfall that we get here in Bama.

Does this system have adjustable valve timing? I assume it would benefit from having advance on opening the air valves before the peak vertical level of the water in the hydraulic/pneumatic assembly. It'd be cool if the system could be caught or locked at the high position to save energy, but that'd require a perfectly sealed system. I wonder if the shape of the float could be more cylindrical , as the displacement would be linear through the stroke. -Ken

‼️PLEASE READ‼️ Amazing work really and I have an idea about a building for the wave lake so there could be building like maybe make like a ring shaped building that surrounds the wave lake like a museum on the right of the ring shaped building that tells the history of wave pools and about the info of the wave pool and on the left there could be a mart like area with foods,shops,etc and in the front there could be an entrance that sticks out of the middle of the front and inside there could be a main desk that you get your tickets for the wave lake and the back could be changing areas and the front could be a lounge area and the middle holding the wave pool could have a dome around it like a clear one so you can go any time and on each side there’s an entrance to the middle

IDK what it is about this wave but it looks much more realistic and natural than all the other wave pools I've seen 🙌🏽
