it was at first but being that one its jail 😂 & two im a new nurse but now I love my job, I would say its probably same as psych just in a jail setting. plus like you said you have guards with you always where I work so you will never do anything alone but no weapons at our just mace so if anything goes down its all man power and mace if need be.

my interview was different since im already within the company but corrections wise it was safety questions & how I feel about people in jail.

honestly not too bad , it has its days but thats every job but the only complaint is my schedule tbh , i think I make good money coming in for the things we have to do and dont have to deal with .

Don’t do it, social media is just that media to socialize on. It’s paying bills and making people live comfortable I give it that. But Your private life, your family, your career, your means of survival will ALWAYS come first. Don’t like social media take that from you.

I would agree if its a brand new nurse with zero medical experience but see me ive been a MA and PCT so ive worked office and hospital before soooo I didnt care about the " skills " or getting the bedside experience , i been there , done that & im completely okay with correctional health 😂 .

its def an interesting job 😂 and far different than bedside! but you should try it, its like a hidden gem!

its been actually okay so far , ive had some days where im like 🥴 but girl im shy , quiet & all the above honestly but a job is a job and you just have to hold your own at the end of the day and thats at any job so this probably will toughen me up but personally I feel like I am okay with that because I want to get out of that shyness .

@@NurseAviiiii Okay! I feel it, I hold my own, on the civilian side if things.. so why not. There are so many avenues in nursing and each one you learn something, Like you said it can help toughen you.

they are still regular people at the end of the day honestly so jail or no jail im still coming in and treating them with respect until they do something otherwise but its def a job you cant take to heart and take home and I have already found that out .

Yeah for sure, when you work in that type of environment you work with the mentality of no judgement you not there for that. And man working in this field in general you learn to not take it to heart I work in med surge now, don’t think just because people ain’t behind bars it’s sweet over here … nah 😭people crazy! And sometimes helping people when they they most vulnerable ain’t always pretty. But I feel like all my years of experience CNA/Nurse I’m ready to try something new. I like jobs that don’t just grow my resume but grows me career and personal
