Fantastic trip guys 👍🎣
Some mighty nice fish there!
Yet another f’ing fishing video with the fast forward drive up from Melbourne.
Nice video
Interesting... Catch nice clean fresh trout and release them then go home and eat birdseye fish fingers
Travel restrictions?...
As residents within Melbourne metro area, Victoria , Australia, at the time we were only allowed to travel within 5 km of home due to Covid19, fortunately we both live within 5 km of this beautiful trout stream
@@petercoles7174 ohhh didn't realize location... And due to tyranny actually...
Amazing bro 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Mantap 👍👍👍👍
Been fishing those streams for decades and never seen a Brooky! My white whale, I guess
Ive only caught them on rare occasions and only in the Rubi. But when they are firing in the warmer months they are aggressive and happily take a dry fly.
Hope you killed them & ate them. 12 seconds out of the water and they get emphysema; can't breath properly in the water!
Fast flowing …… love it
Yeah, spring rains made the creek nearly double its normal size, didn’t affect the fishing though
That’s the smallest net I have ever seen!
Thanks Peter...it was a good day out...and less than 5km from home!!
yewww👍
Great video guys!! Would love to visit and have a go around that beautiful country one day. Thanks for sharing!
👍👍🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝👉👉👍
👍👍👍👉👉👉🤝🤝🤝💯💯
👍
There is no place lake on the water and trout fishing no place I would rather be!!
Totally agree, thanks for watching
Too many fish here these days
Use bait or lures
Lure and fly, we only caught 1 on fly, but our main effort was for trout but the water was way too warm
Driving on that road will scare the shit out of me.... Nice video
It does me good seeing you fishing that system thanks. I haven’t had my boat out for a year thanks to the impact of fires last year. Hoping to get out after things quieten down a bit. Still some great months for fishing that system.
It’s a fabulous place to fish, and there are so many kilometres of the system going right up into NSW, and mostly only accessible by boat. The Wallagaraugh and Genoa rivers are spectacular in their own unique way, but there is the beach, the lake and everything in between, all surrounded by gorgeous national park, it’s unique and magnificent. I hope you get the boat back up there soon mate.
Our favorite place of all time!
mine too, the family home is now gone in the fires but it is still a magnificently beautiful place.
@@petercoles7174 Pete sorry to hear that mate. We copped it too at Sarsfield, lost a house but saved the other though badly damaged. Lost everything else. WE are gradually fixing up the damage and will get through. Cooat ahs been our salvation and we have had a caravan at Shady Gully for 16 years and we love the place. gumfarm@gmail.com
Dang, that road on the way in was insane, wouldn't want to be there in a norwester! That's a nice looking stream
You interfered with a spawning salmon?
Hi Tim, The streams we were fishing had only trout we saw no Salmon at all. The darkly coloured fish we caught by hand was a male Rainbow trout.
Very good fishing
Very good fishing
These would be perfect waters for me and my girlfriend to fish. I too, do not want to hire a guide.
That looks like perfekt TENKARA territory! 😜
stunning scenes here, great spots and some nice fish caught, awesome to see
Why not list the rivers and general locations? You’re not a guide and that would make your video more compelling
Hi Robert, I have received criticism in the past for listing the rivers we fished, it’s a case of you can’t please everyone.
Very nice. Catching fish like that on tiny creeks is such a pleasure. Was in that area about 1 month earlier than ya'll.
Some beautiful spots there team. All so close to home😉😉
It was great to meet you on the plane the other day. I am the guy from NM in the USA. Hope you guys had a great fish. Bob
Hi Bob, it was great to meet you too, thanks for your great company on the flight. I hope you had a great tour of NZ, we had our best trip ever with more fish than we could count, the mayflies were hatching and the trout were definitely feeding well throughout the day, I trust you are home safe, Peter
Nice video mate and fish, nothing like fly Fishing n the Canterbury area
Great country we have here in Canterbury aye. Nice trout👍👍
Great day! Been fishing the Rubicon a few time with no fish.Any advice? Did you drop in at the powerstation and wade up river?
where it this spot
Any yellow belly up that high?
None that we saw
Generally it's good practice to not name rivers, especially if they are little known, small, reasonably accessible, beautiful but with relatively low fish numbers.
if people slow down to appreciate it, it's a picturesque little spot along that portion of the yarra....... just needs a little humour with drone strikes on private school rowers......
amazing looking place....... certainly would be happy paddling there.....
Where is it to catch these carps?
One of my favourite areas to fish I've been angling all through that region for over 50 years
brilliant. very enjoyable watch as usual.
Great area to fish up there I've been fishing all through that area for about 50 odd years and up into the Snowy Mountains never tire of seeing that country
Great Vid guys so many places to fish in that country and Woods Point looks the same as it did 55 plus years ago
I started fishing there as a 15 year in around 1963 64 and I still love that place and the Royston too and all of the dams as well
That's my backyard i'v been fishing the Goulburn the Acheron and the Rubicon Rivers and most of their tributaries in fact nearly all of their tributaries since the early 60s and never get tired of going there I've fished all these streams almost from beginning to end over the years and I've managed to catch some some amazing fish
