Sculpture process Great auk - Kittiwake

Lorca Art & Media presents this fantastic work by the talented sculptor Carmen Morano and her assistant Ruben Blanco. Great Auk is an extinct bird, last seen on Hornøya, Vardø. This specimen, together with a Kittiwake in a plastic nest, now belongs to the Varanger Museum in Vardø. Take a look the sculpture process!

This is an artistic recreation with sounds inspired by the burning of witches. - The Steilneset Memorial is a monument in Vardø, Norway, commemorating the trial and execution in 1621 of 91 people for witchcraft. The memorial was designed by artist Louise Bourgeois and architect Peter Zumthor and was opened in 2011. It was Bourgeois' last major work. - Video by Clara Lorca
