Grinding feed with FARMALL 806 for cattle
Where are you guys from? I knew a farmer in a town I grew up in that would bale and rake and such with an 806, and his land touched another farm and they'd work together to cut and bale and rake. And they both raised cattle. The other farmer used a large Allis Chalmers.
I'm from Western PA, but have since moved to Central, sort of, it's debatable if Johnstown and Altoona and Ebensburg are really Central. Love these kinds of videos. From late spring to early fall, I drive down every week to every other week back to my home town to help my farmer friend cut his grass and do things around his farm.
It looks like a very good heavy frist cut to bale.
Maybe too less weight on the rear tyres?!
We had a 311 for ever now have a 570 these New Holland balers are awesome
WOW!!!!! that sum dry hay
love that sound !!
How we bailed hay in Millville, PA. almost 50 years ago!
Same chisel plow my dad pulled with a 4020 with a M&W turbo
Still plowing under heavy manure or sod in a rotation
My dad had an IH 806 Farmall back in the later 60's.. Great all around tractor with lots of power.
THAT TRACTOR RUNS GREAT. .RETIRED LARRY IN INDIANAPOLIS..
tree huggers were triggered
Love the editing man!
As a tractor lover I approve this message
That's the best balet ever made
I like it but this hill is gonna wash away....Should of planted turnips and radish's..
We chisel plowed on a slight angle to remove all the rows
A farmer that I worked for back in the late70s early 80s we tried both and if you leave a few stocks here and there it seems to help slow wind and rain erosion please kept snow from blowing as much.
Aren't you going a little too fast chisel plowing?? Unless you're not going deep down. 3 lo on my 1066 pulling a 7 shank chisel. It stalls as I drop it all the way deep. It does best 2 lo.
Awesome Tractor, good system.
👍👌🇨🇦❤, new sub, gr8 stuff
Wasting time and effort, put some weight on or water in the wheels.
This newholland baler is working like a champ!
The 806 had plenty of power for every job on the farm up into the 1980s.
That 856 will handle bigger mower
I enjoy seeing the classic 2 wheel tractors work. And with duals. Growing up we always had 2 wheel drive tractors. Today I have three 2 wheel drive tractors a 539 IMT 39hp. 5320 John Deere 64hp and a 3070 Massey Ferguson 90hp.
Nice setup! Similar here - also have a NH 70 thrower (but on a Massey baler). Good looking hay!
I’ve got the same spreader! The poly cone is a nice feature...
Nice to see a video made by a farmer who doesn't have flat as a pancake fields.
No flat land around here
Back set of shanks is barely in the ground with that top link shortened up like that. “recreational tillage” I guess

That's doing a shitty job
Shiny chrome pipe on a tractor that has never been washed or waxed. Have tractors older than that that are still in showroom condition, with over 10,000 hours. Wash then when you are done, put them away. Respect the investment.
That’s the way we bought them that’s the way they are staying
wetlook looker ole buddy paint don’t make it run it probably would out run your painted up turds keep your bad comments off are Chanel if it’s the way we bought it can’t help it if you give us 20k we would happily go buy a real nice one
@@materpullingteam800 My turds were never repainted, all original and will out pull any tractor in their class. You didn't say you bought it that way.
@@wetlooklooker8502 yeah then they aren't working tractors homeboy.
So them johndeere rims fit on your hubs ok or did you have to change hubs out
Top link wants lengthing, chisel plough not level ,digging in on front bar making harder to pull
Yep, and he needs to get some radial rear tires and wheel weights
I came to comments to say same thing
Looks like southwestern PA. Am I right?
Sure are
Listen boys that's a hell of a strong tractor, make it work son,but why pound the piss out of a very good machine, makes no sense brother
Nice video! Great team of equipment there to bale with. I have learned over the years to stop after the first 30-40 bales and stack some up front higher than the gate so it acts as a better stop for those bales that roll back down. Thought that might help.
Pretty cool don't see too many 856 nf's
Nice looking setup!
How come u farmer's can't level out machinery ? Really guy's not that hard.
Good looking feed. By any chance was it oats and cotton seed meal or am I totally off?? That used to be our goto, high energy cold weather supplement so just wondering.
Great video keep it up
I love all these videos. Guys running the tractors always look straight ahead lol
Must not be able to see need your reading glasses he turns his head to me can’t look back the whole time might hit a hater😂
@@materpullingteam800 I just love watching all these RUclips videos cuz TV gets too boring there's no commercials RUclips videos LOL
To keep the rows straight.
I like to see one of these guys making these videos wave once LMAO
👋🏻
No ear protection and no muffler, hearing aids for this guy in the future. I like mufflers on my tractors.

Yeah once spring and summer comes around more will be posted
What a waste
of what?
Diesel fuel. He could pull mulboards and do a much better job while burning the same fuel. He's not even knocking the stalks over.
@@whiskeybuilder6335 mold board plows are the most idiotic tillage equipment ever created and why people quit using them in the 90s. At least everyone who takes farming seriously does. Not all the stalks should be knocked over and not all of the stalks should be buried. That's poor soil management and a recipe for massive amounts of soil erosion caused by wind and precipitation.
@@tduffysd good point.
@@tduffysd is that why moldboard plows are being used again. How much fuel you burn on no till and you just compact the soil down even more
Let your top link out some so it will level out
Yes i saw that, just a little bit would correct it too ...
