The day we lose Dave Goelz is going to be extremely tragic in our lifetimes. We had the time to grieve Jim, though he is still missed. I do not think I will recover after hearing “I’ll Go Back there Someday” when he passes. Let’s enjoy the time we have :) We appreciate you, Dave, for staying Gonzo all these years

It showed up again. It being such a great song and those two are so good, so I had to watch and listen again.

Richard was the perfect person chosen to be the Eulogist. He became the strong leader in a time of broken people, devastated by the loss of Jim. I have often rewatched this, just to listen to his words of wisdom toward the end of the service. When he spoke about stopping to just listen to the birds sing… And then at the end, I feel like he kept all of his colleagues together emotionally, staying strong. Otherwise, I feel like everyone was this close to breaking down and falling apart. I’m old now, these puppeteers are so much older. But one thing that states with me is when Frank says that Jim was the person he not only performed with, but played with. I will never stop playing. Thank you, Jim, Frank, Richard, Dave, Steve, Kevin, Jerry, Carol

I was 17 when Jim passed away, and it was like losing a family member which he was of course. I’m now 51, and I still cry when I hear this song. That is the magic of Jim Henson.

Years ago I wanted to be a puppeteer so I found frank oz address wrote to him told him what a jim henson fan I was . And I wanted to be the next jim henson. Of course never be another jim henson. But frank oz wrote back to me sent me autograph but I misplaced it. That was so cool getting autograph from frank oz. Rest in peace jim henson carroll spinney and several others that passed away .

I watched the documentary on ABC and I laughed and cried at this. Truly a great man.

Watching the Muppets as a kid was magical. His guests, the puppeteers...all of it made this dream come true for so many of us. Thank you to Jim and Jane for the memories and the laughter.
