Errol Brown and Maureen Leonard - 'Stranger' (1992/3)
From a REALLY old cassette! - this is probably a third generation copy.
Errol is a guy I knew through Mark, my partner back in the 90s and Maureen is my sister.
Maureen's daughter Rhiannon is also a musician and has her own RUclips channel - @rhiannonleonard.
I've tried to re-eq the sound as best as I can. There are severe limitations to what information you can extract from a 30+ year old cassette tape...
Errol wrote this fantastic track, which, I think still sounds current. Maureen's vocal and harmonies still sound great.

Another faultless performance, this is more than likely Lyn's finest song according to MANY of her fans. Introduced in his own inimitable style by the absolutely wonderful Les Dawson. I can remember the promo clip being shown on ITV during the days leading up to the Saturday when this was first shown (from the 'Sez Les' DVD)

I heard this on the radio just recently. it's a jolly,happy little tune that is easily recognisable as a Cook and Greenaway melody,should have done a lot better.

I found out last night Geoff Stephens, the co-writer of this song and the two New Seekers songs featuring Lyn Paul died on Christmas Eve this year.
